Best meal I ever ate:

Tasting Menu at Angela Hartnett at the Connaught was pretty extraordinary, and I got to meet her after the meal which made it just that much better...

My current drink of choice:

A glass of fine wine chosen by my husband. If there's no fine wine around, I tend to go for hot chocolate. I dread to think how many I have drunk in my life.

I really wish I could:

go out for dinner more often. Having a baby means that I have to plan nights out at smart places MONTHS in advance. I miss those spur of the moment romantic blow out dinners with my husband back in the early days. He knew how to spoil me!

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

I cook to please other people so it really depends! But I love to surprise people. I really enjoyed preparing a Georgian Feast for friends last year, even tho my cheesebread didn't work out.

My favorite comfort food:

Rice and something. Usually some kind of tasty stirfry and a big pile of veg with it.

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

So hard! Hakkasan in London delivers every time. IHOP when I get to go to the states for a stack of totally comforting pancakes. Racine in London for romance.

My most tattered cookbooks:

How To Eat by Nigella, Falling Cloudberries, Far Eastern Cookery by Madhur Jaffrey, and How to be a Domestic Goddess are ones I go back to time and again.
