Where to Dine for Great Lambchops???

The best lamchops are at the Source!!! Enjoy!

Your 10 favorite DC Metro restaurants

2Amy's is always great! The Doc's pizza's are my favorite, I cant resist the buffalo mozzarellat. The Aranaci balls are always delicious, have you tried the potato frittas? and the potato croquettes? They are both excellent. I need to go there on Sunday for their brunch for bialys and homemade doughnuts that I heard are excellent.

Your 10 favorite DC Metro restaurants

I said at the top of my post that my list was in no particular order. Ofcourse 2Amy's isn't the 4th best restaurant in DC. The Greek Deli is at 1120 19th Street NW, go early (before 12 for lunch) or the line will get extremely long, it's a few doors down from Smith & Wollenskys. It's a extremely small restaurant, there are a few tables outside but the Greek Deli is mostly for takeout. The Gyro and the Avgolemono Soup (Chicken Lemon) are my favorite dishes. You can get those 2 in a combo for $9.99 which also comes with a piece of bread. This is my favorite Gyro in the city, I always ask Kosta (The owner) for extra Tzatziki Sauce for my Gyro. Enjoy!

We, the PIzza. I get "Who?" My question is "When?"

We The Pizza opened on Friday, I tried to go on Saturday at 6:30 and they had run out of dough! I can tell everyone this I was at Good Stuff Eatery for the Premiere of Top Chef last month and Spike was testing out his pizza's that night, They brough them over, I had 2 slices of the Spinach and Artichoke Pie and 1 slice of the Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella and Roasted Tomato Pie. They were delicious, Very tasty, The flavors of the toppings were superb and the cheese was also very good. I loved it. The crust was fine, not amazing that I recall but definitely good. I could have have kept eating and eating them.

I have been highly anticipating the opening of We the Pizza ever since this and I look forward to having their pizza again soon.

Church St. Pizza (Vienna)

Church Street pizza is still around and the pizza is decent, I am unfamilar with Joe Pizza so I cant compare the too. The plain pizza at Church Street is fine, you could do a lot worse. You should go to Pizzeria Orso! I dined there on Friday night and there pizza is very similar to 2Amy's it was great.

I agree about the BGR sucking. maybe I should have had the greek burger or whatever it is called but, the burger at Rays, Central, Palena and Good Stuff Eatery blows BGR out of the water.

Driving to Ocean City tomorrow: Where should we eat on the way?

I recommend Stevensville Crab Shack
106 Pier 1 Road
Stevensville, MD 21666-2600
(410) 604-2722 For awesome crab cakes!

When you're in Ocean City you must eat at Ristorante Antipasti! http://www.ristoranteantipasti.com/
This is a true Italian Gem! Food network named this restaurant one of the top 5 Italian Restaurants in the country. They used to have 2 locations in Ocean City with one being a lot closer to Dewey Beach then the other one. Unfortunately the closer location It was on 117th street I believe is gone, They still have their location on 12th street and a more casual smaller menu on the Ocean City Boardwalk. I have dined here atleast 20 times and you will not find a better restaurant. Their fresh homemade pastas are superb. Also, I highly recommend the gnoochi, and for unbelieable meats, the rack of veal, and the garlic steak are to die for. The service is wonderful here and dining here is a true treat. Don't forget to have a cannoli for dessert, also ask for their focaccia bread it is out of this world. They have wonderful wines as well.

If the chef Fausto DiCarlo opened a restaurant in the DC area he would compete and blow the following Italian restaurants out of the water, Tosca, Siroc, Potenza, Teatro Goldini, (especially after Enzo Fargione was fired) and Sotto Sopra (in Baltimore) It's that amazing! (Unsure about Obelisk as I have yet to dine there)

You must eat here. You will be thanking me later. Enoy.

Help finding the Best Pizza at the North Jersey Shore?

I have decided that I am going to Maruca's in Seaside Heights, Luigi's Famous Pizza on Doris Avenue, and lastly either Squan Tavern, Vesuvio's or Coal Fired Oven in Bradley Beach.

Where should my last stop in the Spring Lake area be for Pizza? I also hope to make it to Windmill, Hoffmans Ice Cream, and the Scone Pony

Finally, hopefully I will be at De Lorenzo's on Sunday, (I have to convince my fiancee for us to stay later at the beach so we can go to De Lorenzo's (on Hudson Street) at 4pm when they open. If not I will have to settle for pizza somewhere else.

I will report back my opinions on the all pizza that I try, Thanks for everyone's advice. I am excited for some NJ Pizza!!

What do you guys regard as the best Pizza in NJ outside of DeLorenzo's?

Pizza Patrol has high regards for Buona Pizza and Restaurant in Westfield, and Luna Restaurant, in Three Bridges are these places the real deal?

Or would you recommend going to Spiritos and or Santillo's? I could make a stop at any of them on my return trip to DC.

Am I overlooking any Pizza place?

Help finding the Best Pizza at the North Jersey Shore?

Maruca's is the first stop on my list. My other stops are undecided. From what I have been reading Sausage seems to be the topping to get at most of these places and the Clam Pizza is for DeLorenzo's?

Thanks for the tip I definitely wont overload, I never usually do more then 2 topppings on a pizza and thats when I get Hawaiian.

If any of you guys are ever in DC and are looking for Pizza or any other recommendations for food feel free to send me a message. I have lived in DC for about 23 years, all of my life minus college and I know the top chefs and restaurants here.

For Pizza in DC I highly recommend 2Amys, RedRocks and 2Amy's sister restaurant Pizzeria Paradiso. 2Amys I feel is far and away the best Pizza in this area IMO. and is on The Verace Pizza Napoletana Association list for their DOC Pizza's (they use buffalo mozzarella cheese instead of mozzarella. They are wood burnin oven pizza's and they usesoft-grain flour, fresh yeast, water, and sea salt for the dough, Italian plum tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, extra-virgin olive oil and fresh basil or dried oregano may be used for the toppings. All of their pizzas are amazing.especially the DOC's the crust is so soft it melts in your mouth, the flavor on the cheese will blow you away. http://www.2amyspizza.com

I will add Hoffman's to my list. Who doesn't love ice cream?

I am definitely crossing Pete & Elda's off my list. I was reading on hollyeats.com about Max's Famous Hot Dogs in Long Beach, is that worth trying?

I wont be able to try DeLorenzo's on the trip home due to their Sunday hours. Where should I go instead? Is DeLucia's Pizza in Raritan worth the high regard as the best Pizza in NJ awarded to them by the munchmobile? or should I try Spiritos, Star or somewhere else?

According to De Lorenzo's website they aren't open on Sundays until 4pm? Is this true? I am going to be very upset if I am unable to try DeLorenzo's for lunch on my drive home to DC.

Thank you so much for the tip, I will definitely be making a stop at the Scone Pony.

Are all the Maruca's locations the same for taste? I will be closest to the one in Brick NJ, is that location any different then the one at Seaside Heights?

Help finding the Best Pizza at the North Jersey Shore?

So which 3 pizza places should I go to? I am very confused.

Good pizza in Monmouth County (split from Chains board)

MandalayVA, what is your favorite pizza place in VA?

Help finding the Best Pizza at the North Jersey Shore?

Good point, I can shoot to make it to all three over the weekend, if I have pizza when I arrive in Spring Lake on Friday night. Then have pizza on Saturday for lunch and pizza after the wedding on Saturday, I can make it to all three, the only issue is having pizza drunk on Saturday night wont give me an accurate measure on the quality of the pizza but it's the best I can do.
I can make a stop at DeLorenzo's on Hudson Street on the way home.

Is DeLorenzo's in Robbinsville the same quality as the one on Hudson Street?

Help finding the Best Pizza at the North Jersey Shore?

From my research and reading here on chowhound I have narrowed my Pizza list down to
3 places. Maruca's, Pete & Elda's and Vic's during my trip to Spring Lake at the end of the month. If you guys only had the chance to try 2 of these pizza places which would they be?

On my return trip I plan to go to DeLorenzo's in Trenton (The Hudson Street location). Being from DC I am looking forward to tasting some real pizza.
