Oysters in bulk in Providence, RI?
Price of oysters have been coming down last few weeks at Fisherman's in New Bedford. $0.45 each this week. Very good prices at this market as it is also a processing plant. They update prices each week at link below.

Clamshack between Boston and Newport, preferably in RI
Almost every Friday, I get fried clams at Scott's fish market in Warren. They only have fried food on Fridays.
Clam Bake Help: Need Advice on heat and Rocks
Maybe just a clam boil would be better. I never tried to heat rocks on a grill.
"Caution" if you decide to heat rocks on a grill, please where safety glasses. I have had rocks explode and there is much more of a chance they will if you use rocks from near the shore.
Sea Swirl...what happened to your fried clams??
Thanks for that tip Chef. I will pick some up.
Sea Swirl...what happened to your fried clams??
I just dip them in milk and then ground up oyster crackers. I use flour when I don't have the crackers in the house.
Sea Swirl...what happened to your fried clams??
Thats my plan for today. I dug some steamers on Saturday.
Tip for those who want to make your own. To open the soft shell clams, drop a few at a time in boiling water for about 15 seconds, then take them out and drop in ice water. You can then open them by hand and remove the cover on the neck and the clams will still be uncooked.

I don't know about commercial growers, but I would think in the fall. I grow my own and dig them up fall and spring. I just dug some last weekend.
Wallis Seafood Market in Barrington....
I normally pick up haddock, scollop's, wild shrimp, oysters, crabs. They also have other shellfish and fish. They also carry some prepared heat and eat items but I have never tried them. I shop there a couple times a month along with a couple other fish markets I shop at.
Wallis Seafood Market in Barrington....
I have not been there in over a year now. Seafood was fresh but limited. A good place is Tony's on route 6 in Seekonk or Nick's in Bristol. Those are the the two I frequent most of the time. I also shop in New Bedford.

Crayfish / Crawfish in RI
I don't think you will find any alive for sale. I only find them cooked and frozen. Every year I think about ordering live crayfish from down south but the shipping charges always change my mind. If you do find some, please let me know.

Any recommendations for lobster (not lobster roll) in RI- Bristol County?
While I agree with the others about cooking at home I realize it may not be an option for you as I know some don't like to deal with a live creature. I have lobster at least once a month but never had one in a restaurant as it is to messy for me and so easy and less expensive to do at home. I just seen an ad for Lobster cooked any way at Grist Mill in Seekonk MA. http://www.virtualr.net/colin-mcrae-dirt-3-first-details-revealed/ But there are many places.
I normally steam them at home.
Frank, I tried your method of the sea water as I live a few blocks away, but must say I still prefer them steamed.

Weekend at Newport, RI, 1st time ever
As Newport Creamery's advertising copy has been known to say, "It's a drink!" Specifically, an ice cream drink. Even more specifically, a blend of flavored syrup, milk, and a secret frozen ice milk mix. The ice milk differentiates the Awful Awful from its cousins, the Cabinet and the Frappe, and from its evil twin, the Friendly's Fribble Shake. Awful Awfuls are most readily available in Chocolate, Vanilla, Coffee, Mocha, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, and Orange flavors, but can be made from any flavor syrup (ipecac-flavored Awful Awful anyone?). They're "Awful big, awful good," and if you can drink three at a sitting, the fourth one is free!
