Good Popsicle mold?

Anyone have a specific one they really like? The new one I bought it was very hard to get the pop out. In fact I pulled out the stick and left the pop in!

Sams Flaming Grill

It's ok, rice is greasy and food quality and quantity varies on any given day, and service can be surly.

An option that is better is Ali Baba cafe, but it is in Simi Valley not Moorpark

Dunkin D coffee at home

Are you buying the coffee From Dunkins? The stuff at grocery stores is not the same. The other thing is you need light cream, which is not available everywhere. I found the fat content online then mix my own to better replicate the flavor

"off the beaten track" chefs and restaurants cookbooks

Have you thought about getting a tablet, ipad, kindle etc and downloading cookbooks? The expense of the device may be offset by the shipping charges you pay

Ellio's Frozen Pizza

I've never seen it out here, but remember it from back east! I recently did the same thing with Steak Umms, either my tastes have greatly improved over the years or they are much worse than they used to be.

Concord grapes ... where to find in LA?

I've bought them at gelsons before. You also might want to try the concord hybrid they have at farmers markets, I think it's the thomcord. Not quite the same but still good.

good food in Simi Valley - Great Central Steak and Hoagie

That burger you see was four bucks which I thought more than reasonable, considering its fresh not frozen ribeye. My friends go every other week for lunch And nobody complains about pricing, I found their menu through a google search http://www.simivalleyhoagie.com/menu....

good food in Simi Valley - Great Central Steak and Hoagie

After hearing about this place, I wanted to check it out myself. Went today and was pleasantly surprised. The place is small, and has some seating indoors and out, the food was delicious.

I got a hamburger, which they make in house from ribeye, it was thin, but it was tasty. They also have fresh cut fries which were delicious. Certain days they do homemade potato chips and homemade onion rings.

Friends have gotten the cheesesteaks and liked them. Beware, everything on your sub includes marinara sauce.

the staff there was very nice explaining the toppings, being very courteous when the order was ready.

Chocolate Sauce...no HFCS?

I have a recipe that is really easy, easy to make and not messy

6 tbsp butter
2 c confectioners suga
2/3 c cocoa
1 c evaporated milk (i have even used the lower fat one and it comes out fine)

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan. Stir constantly and bring it to a boil over medium to medium low heat. Boil for 5 mins. To reheat, put it in the microwave. It reheats fine.
