Loved Sun Sui Wah a few years ago......looking for recommendations from Chowhounds. Is this place still as good as it was or should we try one of your favorites?

Edmonds dinner recommendation

Thanks! For this part of the family tree, I think Arnie's is the way to go.

Edmonds dinner recommendation

Need a recommendation for Monday night in Edmonds. Taking a few family members out to dinner as a holiday gift (no kids); casual ambiiance with good food. These folks are not foodies but love good seafood and meats. Not sure about ethnic.

Olympia - lunch recommendations

We will be driving thru Olympia this week. Looking for a casual lunch spot with good homemade soups or diner foods.

Astoria Oregon - Breakfast and dinner recommendations

Looking for ideas for good homemade breakfast in Astoria particularly if they make their own breads and rolls.
Also, fish and chips ideas for dinner for one night and a restaurant idea with good wine list for the second night.

Mt. Vernon, WA

Is there a good Chinese buffet in Mt. Vernon for lunch?

Lunch in Ellensberg

Car trip next week will be taking us past Ellensberg at lunch time. Need recommendation for good home cooked food with fresh ingredients for lunch. Diner/cafe/bar food etc.

Spokane Bakery

Need chowhound referral for a good bakery that also serves breakfast in Spokane. Will be there late next week.

Lunch in Port Townsend

Need recommendation for an inexpensive lunch with seven other people in Port Townsend. Need a mix of seafood, meat and vegetarian options.

Special Dinner for 20 people at a Washington Winery

I'd highly recommend Cana's Feast in Carlton for a dining and winery experience in a beautiful Italian setting. See their website www.canasfeastwinery.com
They make wonderful Bordeaux blends and have a great catering dept.

The Youngberg Hills winery has a beautiful B&B although can not accomodate 50, but some of the group could stay there. It is on a hill overlooking their vineyards. Very special. Good luck.

Santa Rosa Chinese restaurant

Looking for authentic.......any suggestions?

Santa Rosa Chinese restaurant

SF Chinatown referral

What are the favorite dim-sum places IN Chinatown these days? We've moved out of state and friends who will be visiting SF need recommendations.

Dinner in Edmonds area

What are the Chowhounds favorite restaurants for dinner between Edmonds and Northgate? Looking for inventive seafood, steaks, chops etc. for four with differing tastes. Good wine list a plus.

Any great Walla Walla wineries that do private tours?

Call the owners/winemakers of RULO, BUTY, ISENHOWER, CHATEAU ROLLAT, TERTULIA AND PATIT CREEK. You can get their info on www.wallawalla.org/directory.cfm The wines are excellent.
Don't miss L'Ecole 41 and Woodward Canyon in Lowden on the way into town and the tasting room for Nicolas Cole Winery in the center of town. A must for dinner is the Creekside Cafe but you need reservations. Good luck.

Driving with friends to Prosser on Wednesday and need a good place for lunch but not Mexican food.

Road Food Portland to Ashland

These sound great! How about expanding it to 1 mile off I-5? Novak's sounds like a MUST.

Road Food Portland to Ashland

Looking for top notch diners and/or small family owned restuarants off I-5 (lunch or dinner) between Portland and Ashland while on a road trip.

Pub or restaurant near waterfront in Edmonds, Tacoma, Des Moines, Olympia...?

My first recommendation would be Ray's Boathouse on Shilshoe Bay...inside or outside. Next door is Anthony's just in case Ray's is full. Excellent seafood plus many other options.

Lunch ideas in Port Townsend

I will have six to eight people with me later in the month, on a day trip to Pt Townsend. Need lunch ideas that are reasonably priced, casual and offer some choices for vegetarians. Prefer restaurants that support local growers. A view would be a plus, but not critical.

Near the Seattle Opera House

The view is nice, but stick to the drinks as there is FAR better food in Seattle. If you are willing to wander further afield on one of your nights away from the opera, then you really should go to Ray's Boat House. You will need reservations 1-2 weeks in advance. It is a good 15 minute cab drive from your hotel.

Near the Seattle Opera House

Since you are a visitor, I'd recommend eating at any one of these four and taking a taxi to the Opera House, if you want REALLY good seafood. You can review their menus on-line: Ettas (a Tom Douglas restaurant), Ponti Grille, Palisade and Seastar. Finding great food around the opera is tough.
