Best Pizza around Edison NJ?

If you mean the place on Amboy Ave next to Clara Barton school Mary and her husband returned to Italy to retire . It was the best around !

One dinner and maybe a breakfast or brunch in or near Edison

I've always enjoyed their skillet dishes and the thermos of hot coffee was perfect .
Glad you liked it .

I liked the place in the late seventies but didn't know it still existed .

If you know that corner go down Olden towards Rte 1 and look in the last row of buildings on the right - Rozmaryn's is there .
Have you tried Krakowiak in South River ?

Rozmaryn Restaurant, Trenton, NJ Polish Food.

BTW at the top of the hill , at Brunswick Ave you'll find a Polish neighborhood with good bakery/deli places .

Rozmaryn Restaurant, Trenton, NJ Polish Food.

I've eaten there a number of times . The menu is limited but the food and prices are good .
A little hard to fid - it's on the west side of Olden just a bit North of Rte 1 and it's very easy to miss . The entrance can put you off - a dark hallway at the top of a narrow stair but once inside the place is attractive .
If you like Central European food you can also go North on Olden for a few miles to the Mazzaro's shopping center where you'l find Barbara's Hungarian Kitchen . Also very good .

You might try Jade Garden on Amboy Ave across from the Stewart's restaurant .

Cranberries !!

When Cranberries burned down I thought it had become only a catering firm but to my happy surprise they are open in a new location with the same delicious stuff !

Good olive oil in central jersey?

Central Jersey covers a lot of ground but there's Dolce and Clementi's in Robbinsville - a very good Italian Deli .

Best Chinese in Hightstown/East Windsor area?

If you like prime rib you might look into Teddy's on Main St Cranbury . They have live music a couple of times a month and a prime rib special on those nights .

Shannon Rose Irish Pub -- Ramsey

MacDonaugh's in Keyport does some good Irish stuff .

If you go a few miles further north on Olden you will find Barbara's Hungarian Kitchen in the Mazzaro Shopping Center . Also BYOB .
Another choice is Krakowiak on Main Street in South River - very good Polish food .

Help please! [near Freehold]

De Lorenzo's has a new location in Robbinsville on Rte 33 just off Rte 130 . Plenty of parking and a good Italian Geli in the back of the complex .

Octoberfest...

Is Steck's still located in the shopping center on the Somerville circle ?
I used to go there for sandwiches when I worked in the area around 1960 . The place was excellent then and there was a liquor store next door that carried imported bottled beers , not an easy find then .

I found great real rye bread in NJ!

Which bakery are you talking about ?

Best Pizza In NJ Still Scorintino's !

Objective ? About food ?

No way !

What I say about food is MY opinion .

I found great real rye bread in NJ!

The paper tag was the Union Baker tag . I used to buy rye bread from Parnes in Perth Amboy - same tag .

This is a link for a beer garden near Liberty Park .
The ferry to Ellis Island and to the Statue of Liberty gives you a wonderful view of the Upper Bay but don't even carry a small pen knife in your pocket - security is tight . I was last there the day the Intrepid was moved back to its permanent berth - great to see the fireboats putting up plumes of water in salute !

I think you may be disappointed in Plainfield . When you were last there there were good stores like Tepper's and a terrific ice cream place - can't recall the name but now there's nothing in the downtown area . If you remember Iselin that town is now mostly Indian with some great restaurants on the outskirts . Do you have any preferences other than Chinese ?

Leaning Tower of Pizza was on the north side of Rte 22 in Greenbrook .
As far as Chinese food search this site - as many opinions as there are posts .
