Kansas City "musts"
I like Grinders in the Crossroads. Also Lulu's Noodles is amazing!
Fun in the Sun
My boyfriend and I are visiting my best friend who lives in Tempe this weekend. We are from Kansas City. We arrive on Saturday and leave on Wednesday. We are looking for a restaurant/bar with a great view and possibily firepits so we can sit outside. Something definitely "Arizonaish". Can you give me some suggestions? Maybe something down home and laid back but fun at the same time. Where we can have a couple of beers and some good food.
Thanks in advance!
Staying at the Hyatt Downtown
I am going to Austin on Thursday-Sunday. We are staying at the Hyatt Downtown, early 30s. Can you recommend a place to just chill out, have good food and possibly sit outside, listen to music, etc. We are laid back people. Somewhere close to our hotel? Celebrating birthday with a big group of people. Suggestions would be awesome! Cheers!
Lee's Summit V day rec?
Not very far at all. Ophelias is a great place to go to on the square! It's a Kansas City Orignals. Check it out!
KC Grocery Stores, Restaurant Recommendations, Jazz?
Hit up the Crossroads district again and go to Grinders for dinner and drinks!!!! www.grinderspizza.com
Lee's Summit V day rec?
I would recommend going to Independence and eating on the square. There are a lot of great places to choose from that can be romantic!
KC..Power and Light district..where's the good beer and food?
801 Chop House in the Power and Light district is amazing! That and Bristol for dinner. Flying Saucer for beer. They have great soft preztels there to go with the brewskies! Have fun!
Four Days in Kansas City for all your can eat!
Grinders West or just Grinders would be my suggestion. Both have excellent food. Grinders was featured on DDD. Also note that Succotash has moved locations. Their new location is beautiful located around 26th and Holmes.
Funky new diner in P&L district Fran's is a fun place to visit! And of course, Blanc Burgers in Westport!!!!!!
Red Velvet cupcakes, hands down, Baby Cakes in the River Market.
Thanksgiving - but not traditional dinner near KC airport
another idea would be to go by Briarcliff Village. It's on the way depending on where you live or a short detour. There is The Cafe, Trezo Mare and Piropos. All excellent choices!
KCMO- SUSHI
I love Nara, I think they have good sushi. Don't forget RA just opened off of 119th, they have FANTASTIC sushi. Haven't been yet to the one here in KC but have in Arizona and go a lot!!!!!!!
Andre's Tea Room -- KC
I love Andres for lunch! Their daily specials are always good in my opinion and I enjoy the green salad. In fact, I've enjoyed pretty much anything I have had there. I think, if I am not mistaken, it includes a drink as well. Enjoy!
KC and OP(KS) for Lunch
Check out Grinders in the Crossroads, my favorite place ever!
Kansas City Brunch
Trezo Mare in Briarcliff has a great brunch. Not sure if they have it every Sunday but it's good!
I enjoy Nick and Jakes as well.
Kansas City Tacos
Rudys has the puffy taco you are speaking of, it's very good. Everything at Rudy's is good.
My top mexican restaurants in KC are (I've lived her my entire life and love Mexican food)
1. El Sombreo (Claycomo)
2. Los Corrales
3. Dos Hombres
4. Ponaks
5. Manny's
looking for a restaurant to celebrate birthday
I am coming into DC staying at the new W close to the White House. It's my sisters birthday and I am looking for a cool restaurant to go to. She loves infused vodka drinks and we are all single in our early 30's. Suggestions?
