Peanut Butter Coated Pretzels - Where to find?

OMG!! Someone tear me away from this site!

Thanks, AeroDoe, awesome site!

I also found them at iHerb, and Amazon.com - Amazon.com doesn't ship to Canada, but iHerb's shipping was super cheap and incredibly fast!

Next, I'll try Nuts.com. :o)

Peanut Butter Coated Pretzels - Where to find?

Just peanut butter.

Peanut Butter Coated Pretzels - Where to find?

I used to buy peanut butter covered pretzels from Planet Organic in Port Credit, from their bulk section, but they no longer carry them as of about a month ago. Anyone see these in the West Toronto/Mississauga area? I'd even go North Toronto or downtown to find them, or order online. I'm not looking for the peanut butter filled square ones that Costco and Loblaw have - these ones were like mini pretzels that were coated in peanut butter.

Thanks!

ancho chili powder

I buy any hot spices at chilly chilies - http://www.chillychiles.com/ - they're in Ottawa, but you can order online, and their products are fantastic. Shipping is fast, and their selection is awesome. They have regular and dark ancho powder, $5.95 and $6.50 for 100g respectively.

Where to Find Heath Bars in Toronto (or suitable substitute)

Hello,

I need Heath Bars for a recipe - whole, pieces, whatever - can they be found in Toronto, preferably in West Toronot/Etobiocke/Mississauga, or the St. Lawrence Market?

Failing that, is there a suitable substitute? Would Skor work?

The recipe is a chocolate and toffee cookie.

Thanks!

St. Lawrence Market - Is it Open Victoria Day 5/24?

I know the market is closed on Sundays, but I also know that tourist attractions have an excpetion to general statutory holiday rules... their website doesn't say - does anyone know if it's open tomorrow?

Thanks!

Where to find White Whole Wheat Flour in Toronto (West)

Wow, that's fantastic information! That's definately going on my list of things to look into when my kitchen is larger. Thanks!

Where to find White Whole Wheat Flour in Toronto (West)

I'm wondering if white whole wheat flour is available in Toronto at all? King Arthur in the states sells it, http://www.kingarthurflour.com/flours/white-whole-wheat-flour.html.

Has anyone seen it here? West end Toronto / Mississauga is preferred.

Thanks!

ISO Heirloom Dried Beans or Rancho Gordo Beans in Toronto

Check out http://www.frontdoororganics.com/Grocery-Shopping/Dried-Legumes - they are a fantastic organic company (I've been getting my organics from them for a year now), and they carry local heirloom dried beans.

ISO : Muffin Cups

Give Golda's Kitchen a try. www.goldaskitchen.com - they have plenty of options and are right off the 401 in Mississauga, or they ship via the internet, too/. http://www.goldaskitchen.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=6008&step=4

Apple Fritter Search!

Woohoo!!! I went to Sanremo's today, and there the little lovelies were!! And tasted just as memory recalled!!! Even better, Sanremo's is about ten minutes from where I live.

THANK YOU!!!

I did check out Yianni's today as well, as I was at the St. Lawrence, and while they sell Apple Fritters, they're not what I was looking for - they look to be battered apple rings that are deep fried.

Apple Fritter Search!

When I was a kid, the Woolco store in downtown Kitchener sold these delicious apple fritters that were knobby, crunchy on the outside, dark brown, and coated in sugary glaze. Can these be found in the West end of Toronto or anywhere in the GTA? These are not the pale yellowish square fritters found at Tim Horton's - they're irregular shaped (no two are the same), and just wonderful! I've looked at the St. Lawrence, and not found them there.

Thanks!

Kat

PS - I've attached a pic of what it looks like from memory.

Baking Products - West End

Hi all,

I'm looking for a store that sells a good selection of baking products - things like double dutch and dutch cocoa, different extracts, etc. I'm still looking for a place to buy bulk flour (unbleached, bread, whole wheat bread, multigrain bread), too. I know there's a place for flour in Scarborough, but that's too far of a haul for me.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Fresh Sour Cherries (Where to find?)

Awesome - thank you all!!!

Fresh Sour Cherries (Where to find?)

Bah!! Not fair! I'm new here, but I don't see any facility here to privately send email to a list member, huh? Not like Zmail on Recipezaar?

Thanks so much for the information and link, I'll wade through those and start calling the ones in my area.

Fresh Sour Cherries (Where to find?)

I started baking again, and long for cherry pie, so I'm looking for the pails of fresh sour cherries that usually turn up in July, so I can freeze them for use during the year. Does anyone know where I can find them, and if Organic ones are available? I used to get them at Dominion, but that's going back 5 years or so.

Secondly, has anyone who makes cherry pie used the jarred ones instead of fresh ones? How do they compare?

Thanks!

Looking to take some friends out (in etobicoke)

My suggestion is Kalamata Restaurant on Lakeshore, south side, between Browns Line & Kipling. http://www.kalamatarestaurant.ca/ It's greek food, but I would consider it more upscale than Just Greek, yet in the same price range. The location was completely gutted and redone, and they have an outdor patio as well. As it is fairly new, it's still quiet, service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. They have a great (and reasonable) brunch on the weekend, as well. The website above has a coupon for a free dip & grilled pita.
