General Piping Tip for Cookies, frosting, etc.

Where can I find individual piping tips? I already have a decent quality piping bag with tips but none of the tips are the one I need. I need just a regular 0.5 - 1CM metal tip to make perfect round cookies. Is there a store in TO that sells all the different types of tips??

Where can I buy food colouring???

What's the best place to buy food colouring in Toronto? And how expensive is it usually?

Good place near Front St / ACC???

What's a good, inexpensive place near the Front St / ACC area???

Good lunch spot for 7 near Yonge/Dundas???

Been there before, any other places?

Good lunch spot for 7 near Yonge/Dundas???

Thanks, any other suggestions?

Good lunch spot for 7 near Yonge/Dundas???

I've been tasked with finding a good lunch spot for 7 people within walking distance from Eaton Centre (Yonge/Dundas) for FRIDA.

Budget will be ~$15-$20 per person and we prefer a quieter atmosphere so we can chat and listen.

Does anyone have any suggestions???

Goody’s Diner – Finally an Ontario candidate for Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives… and it’s in Scarborough

They need to open for a couple hours on the weekends :)

Goody’s Diner – Finally an Ontario candidate for Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives… and it’s in Scarborough

I tried their house burger, the Goody Burger. It was delicious. I'm thinking of going back on Monday to try their other signature artery cloggers. It's a good thing I get time off every 2 weeks and I live "in the area".

Not my business, so not much I can say or do about their working hours. It's just a shame they're located in such a dead, inaccessible area when they have potential to be so much more. IMO, they are what Five Guys (across the street) was supposed to be but much, much better! I guess it's good in a way...cause once it goes mainstream, chances are it'll go downhill..

I managed to squeak there by 6:40. It was an amazing burger. For $10 including taxes, it was probably the best burger I've had in Toronto.

Their hours are retarded. They'd make a lot more money if they operated with normal work hours :).

Birthday LUNCH for two - need suggestions for a good, inexpensive place in Downtown, TO.

Thanks guys, any further suggestions?

Birthday LUNCH for two - need suggestions for a good, inexpensive place in Downtown, TO.

George looks good.....4 lunch course for $60? Does that mean I get to choose any 4 mains for $60? Sounds good! But it's not THAT special/unique.

Is there something more camera pleasing, difficult to make, rare and exotic?

Birthday LUNCH for two - need suggestions for a good, inexpensive place in Downtown, TO.

Around $20-$30 per person for food. Must be in Downtown, Toronto and not more than 20-30 minutes (TTC) away from Yonge/King. I really wanted to try Beast or Black Hoof but they serve dinner only :(. Chowhound, please recommend me something good, inexpensive, and unique!!!

Name these two burger places!

I'm 100% sure they found out about Goody's on Chowhound too.

Name these two burger places!

My friend's pics. Thanks for letting me know the name of the restaurant. For some stupid reason they don't want me to try "the best burger"..

Name these two burger places!

Anyone know where I can find these burgers (in Toronto)?

Looking for a nice restaurant to eat in Montreal

You know what, I am going to MTL for fun. So bump it up to $40. But the food there better be damn amazing lol!!!

Looking for a nice restaurant to eat in Montreal

I am staying at the Day Inns hotel on 215 Blvd. Rene-Levesque Est.

Would anyone be kind enough to recommend some nice restaurants nearby ($20-$25 range)?

I'm willing to take subway but prefer something no further than 15-20 minutes away. I'm also coming from Toronto, so I'd like to try something "different" (if that's even possible)...so no Asian or Asian fusion cuisines please!

Thanks!

Best Japanese AYCE for Friday, July 29 in downtown/Yonge-Dundas area?

This was one of the worst AYCEs I've been to. Convenient location yes, but next time I'll think I'll try a more trusted place on my special day. I feel bad for dragging 7 people with me to this atrocious restaurant.

-Wakame Salad was VERY sour
-Salmon sashimi was in cubes....1/3 of a normal piece of sashimi
-White tuna sashimi was in a puddle of water (probably melted ice)
-Ice cream had chunks of ice inside

I liked the dragon and rainbow rolls but the selection was terrible overall as mentioned already. I would not come back here anytime soon.....

Something fun & food-related on a Friday night....Distillery District?!?

I was looking for something fun/unique/cool to do around downtown tomorrow night for my bday. It must involve food, none of the typical clubbing/drinking stuff....does anyone have any recommendations? Someone mentioned the the DD to me, but we won't be able to make it there until 830 - 9PM. By then everything at the DD might be already closed..... does any one have other suggestions??

Bier Markt on the Esplanade - Recommendations?

Yeah I did, I wrote this above:

"Today, I went to Beer Bistro for lunch (my bday hehe) and it was amazing! It looked like 80% of their menu was made with beer! I had the pulled pork sandwich (made with beer), Young's Double Chocolate Stout (think Guiness with chocolate), and Rocky Road with Mill Street Coffee Porter!!! Much better than Bier Markt!"

I need to go back to try the pizza and a basket of fries.

How about quality that's passable? I'm not looking for AAAAAAAAAAA+ grade.

Bier Markt on the Esplanade - Recommendations?

I had to see for myself how bad it was. Now I can join the club... But really, it was too complicated to change everyone's schedule so we opted to just stick with the original plan.

Bier Markt on the Esplanade - Recommendations?

Decided to try it at least once so I ended up going anyways with no reservations. Got seated in 10 minutes but it was packed at 6:30....90% of the people went for drinks, not food. Granted I was only there for 2 hours, I barely saw anyone order food. My meal was alright, but I probably wouldn't go back there for food. There was nothing special about my "bouillabaise" and I could certainly spend $35 elsewhere for better seafood. Oh well, I wasn't paying this time . Beer was great though! Had a couple samples of Pilsner, Hoegaarden, and some other stuff.

I do want quality. I don't want warm sashimi and insects in my stomach. I believe a quality AYCE can exist.

Best Japanese AYCE for Friday, July 29 in downtown/Yonge-Dundas area?

I've been there before. I've also been to Sushi Couture. It's good quality, but the quantity we eat is not worth it...

Best Japanese AYCE for Friday, July 29 in downtown/Yonge-Dundas area?

Woo Buffet is one of the worst buffets ever..I went there in the first 3 months and their sashimi was warm!!! They put all the sushis directly under lights......disgusting

Good dessert places at the Distillery District?

They're all closed at 8PM on weekdays, unless it's a Friday

Good dessert places at the Distillery District?

I will be in the Esplanade area tonight for dinner and was wondering if it would be a good idea to check out the DD around 9PM. Any worthy, notable places for dessert there?

Best Japanese AYCE for Friday, July 29 in downtown/Yonge-Dundas area?

They have AYCE for Dinner M-F 4-9PM. I've tried their lunch menu and it was good but expensive. I've worked at Yonge/King for 3yrs and have not tried their AYCE Dinner solely because of the price, but I think I'll finally give it a shot on Friday....
