New Yorker in Philadelphia for One Night

Hi, Chowhounds!
I'll be in Philadelphia 3/23 and 3/24 for a last minute trip. Can anyone recommend a great restaurant or bars to check out near Center City, Rittenhouse Square, or Old City? I'll be staying with my husband by the Convention Center, so any places would be greatly appreciated. Any food genres would be great for less than $50 a person.

A group of friends (15 people) want to go out for a last minute inexpensive dinner on Saturday night. The group contains some foodies that would prefer a lively atmosphere but one where you everyone can talk. The catch is that we would prefer to spend under $20 or less for entrees.
