Hope it's true! If Mark Miletello is the new chef, then hopefully they will have a chance to succeed. That's the only way I will try 75 Main again. It would behoove them to get the word out. |

Fort Lauderdale Solo dining (Galt Ocean Mile and Wilton Manors areas) Greek Isles. Very casual, authentic and delicious Greek food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Right by Oakland Park Blvd. |

Cru Cafe is a must! |

Tried it twice, hoping second time would be better. Not going back. I've been to the one in the Hampton's and wasn't thrilled. Was hopeful that this would be better. We were really looking forward to a new option on Atlantic Ave. Good location and ambiance, but food is below average. Also, the menu options aren't thrilling. The bread is awful, which is always a bad sign (doesn't make sense, as you can have great bread delivered). Hope they read this and make improvements. |

We went to Local 11 Ten. Our meal was excellent. The ambiance is very hip. Nice modern decor. I would highly recommend it. If you can, have one of the pedi cabs take you there and drive through the parks. Lots of fun and nice way to see the city. |

Sefa Mediterranean Grill - Delray Beach Everyone needs to try Sefa in Delray. We were there twice this week and loved both of our meals. The ambiance is terrific and the people that own it are so nice. More people have to go, as it is usually pretty quiet. and we want them to be successful. Once you try it, you will definitely return. |

Casa di Pepe - New Italian in Delray Beach Pineapple Grove We had dinner at Casa di Pepe last night. All four of us thought the food was delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly; salad is included and was very fresh; menu is moderately priced. They need to update the outside to make it a little brighter, and less similar to the restaurant that was there before. Besides that, this restaurant is a great addition to Pineapple Grove and Delray. |

Savannah - Need a great restaurant for lunch Need a great restaurant for lunch that has covered outdoor seating. We will have our dog with us and are stopping there on our way to Florida. |

Patio Delray is off the beaten path, but worth the visit. Food is absolutely delicious. It is on Palm Trail, about 1 mile north of Atlantic Ave.and right by the George Bush intracoastal bridge. If you want to escape the crowds on Atlantic Ave. and have far superior food than most places on the Ave., then you need to try this lovely restaurant owned by a husband and wife team. |

We will only be in Savannah for one night. Staying at the Bohemian. Of the following, which one should we try: Elizabeth on 37th |

What happened to Chorizo? Had eaten there twice and thought the food was good. We ate dinner there on Sunday with guests. We were so embarrassed - the food was awful. Does anyone know if they have a new chef? What a disappointment. |

Take a trip to Greve in Chianti and then have lunch outside at Ristoro di Lamoule. Food is great and the views are spectacular. Make a reservation. |

Whole Foods Has Bought Greenlife in Asheville I just checked Whole Food's website and there is nothing listed for Asheville in "Stores in Development", so it seems that it will stay as Greenlife. That's so disappointing. Greenlife is so unappealing to me, especially their fish and meats. Nothing ever looks fresh. I can't imagine they will ever change it into Whole Foods, as Whole Foods now only opens in incredibly large spaces. Wish Whole Foods would open in Biltmore Park in one of those vast, empty spaces, or Trader Joe's for that matter. |

2 days in Asheville, we need help..... Fig is open for lunch and it's terrific. Go all the time. |

I hear what you're saying and did not have high expectations re: Travinia, but still expected more. We'll probably try it again. We are from Boston as well and do get those North End cravings. Try Nona Mia. It's the closest you'll come to the North End in Asheville. |

I've been to all of the restaurants in Biltmore Park. Here is my update: Travinia - it's just ok. Gave it four chances. We have eaten a variety of food - pizza, chicken, pasta, salad and we always walk out somewhat disappointed. It's "faux" Italian food. Yes, the atmosphere and bar are nice. I do realize it's part of a chain, but so is Maggiano's which is all over the country and their food is delicious. The most authentic Italian food in Asheville is Nona Mia. 131 Main - It's convenient for those of us that live in South Asheville. I don't think it's worth driving 15 - 20 minutes to dine there, unless you are going to the movies. Food seems very fresh. I am not thrilled with their vegetable choices. Sunday brunch was very good. Brixx - Do not like their pizza at all!!!!! Roux - Also gave it four chances. The only thing that's really good is their flatbread, which changes daily. Brought four of our friends and everyone was turned off. It's always empty. We will never go again. Hickory Tavern - tried it once. We had a burger and salmon and both were very good. I am not thrilled with the ambiance. It's a sports bar/restaurant and too noisy for me, but I would return if I didn't feel like venturing too far. PF Changs - We have been there when we are too lazy to drive far, but don't really like it. The chicken lettuce wraps are decent. If you go in with low expectations and don't expect authentic Chinese food, then it's ok. Wish someone would open up an authentic Chinese restaurant. |

Red Stag Grill - Bohemian Hotel - Asheville I also have to update my review. We dined there a month ago and it was delicious! The service was excellent. We were told they have a new manager and it was obvious. It is a nice ambiance (minus the animal heads) and love those light-up menus. |

After reading lots of posts, I have narrowed down to the following. Please help me narrow down to two: Matsuhisa |

We will be driving from Aspen to Denver and will stop for dinner. What is the best restaurant in Vail, Beaver Creek, Edwards or Avon? Price does not matter. Just looking for great food!!!! |

Not your typical out-of-towner recommendation thread Just had dinner at Sel de la Terre for the first time this weekend. Have eaten at Via Matta and Sorrelina numerous times. Both of those restaurants far surpass Sel de la Terre. In fact, I will not return to Sel de la Terre. Via Matta would be my first choice, Had dinner there on Sat. evening and it was delicous. |

Heading to NYC on Tues. Could not find anything on Village Restaurant on West. 9th St. Is it good? Would appreciate some moderately priced recommendations in West Village, Meatpacking or Tribeca - only if they take reservations. |
|
|
What's the best REAL Chinese in Charlotte? We often crave it and have to wait until we travel to NYC. |
|
|
Fig in Biltmore Village would be my choice. It is in the same area as Corner Kitchen and Rezaz. I've had lunch at all of them, but prefer Fig. They also have very nice outdoor seating. Corner Kitchen and Rezaz are also good, so you won't go wrong with any of them. |

Restaurants near Lake Lure, NC The Water Oak in Rutherfordton. The food is very good and the ambience is lovely. They have outdoor seating as well. |

Asheville Fig - similar to Market Place? Fig is nothing like the Market Place. We went to Market Place once when we first moved here three years ago and have never been back. Fig is excellent!!!! We eat there at least once or twice a week when we are in town. Everything is flavorful and delicious. Fig would be my first choice. Table, Nova or the Admiral are all great second choices. Table and Nova have a nicer ambience. The Admiral is an old divey bar that is kind of hip, but the food is delicious. |
|
|
Asheville - help us cut one from our list Went to the Admiral this weekend. It was superb!!!! |
|

Asheville - help us cut one from our list Agree with the rest. Corner Kitchen is also great for breakfast. |

Asheville: Best Saturday morning farmers market? We went to the Asheville City Market this morning and it was fabulous. It was our first time. It is open from 8:00 - 1:00. Great selection of produce and cheeses. There was one person (forgot the name) with delicious bread. Also, we bought fresh pasta - it looks good and will hopefully be tasty. |
|
|
Recent Asheville Meals - Fig, Cucina24, Stoney Knob and more Agree with you re: Cucina 24. We were there last night and it was very good. We both had the linguini, clams and pesto and I was actually surprised as to how good the pasta was. I've only had one dish there in the past that wasn't good. Our friend had the scallops and loved them. I also think their pizza is yummy. It's still one of my favorites in Asheville. |

131 Main has opened in Biltmore Park. Have already eaten lunch and dinner there. We were thrilled. The food was really good and ambience is very nice. Considering they just opened a couple of days ago, the service was excellent. The Ahi Tuna Salad was quite tasty and the fish was outstanding/fresh. For dinner, we had the Salmon and Swordfish special and all the sides we ordered were good as well. They don't have freezers, so everything is really fresh. Even if you don't live that close to Biltmore Park, I think it's worth the trip. |
