Trio at The Four Seasons

Have the squid a la plancha and the olive oil-poached halibut with celery puree.....just a suggestion!

Trio at The Four Seasons

I ate there last weekend with a few friends. We took a tour of the menu and the wine list. Our sommelier was really well-informed, and I think the food was fantastic. I can't say I've really had a better meal in Austin. The color of the room is a bit much, but all-in-all, we loved it. I think it would make a nice date spot for you and your wife.

The Worst Fish and Chips in Austin?

Your relentless search is enviable....do you do this with all your food inquiries? Are you an anthropologist, by chance?

Indian Spice World

Im looking for the best Indian market in Austin. Bulk spices a must. Flower waters, Jaggery and dal would be a plus. Any clues?

P&K Grocery

I'm not much on hot dogs normally, but that does sound pretty tasty. Interesting how hot dogs keep appearing as a popular food choice.

Thanks for the reply!

P&K Grocery

Has anyone been to this place on West Mary Street? I just stopped in for the first time and it was pretty cute....sandwiches/groceries/antiques? It seems like a great neighborhood spot, but I'm not sure I quite get it...

Better products mean better restaurants

Why don't more restaurants use local products? In NYC, the greenmarket is crawling with chefs and cooks, looking for the freshest thing just pulled from the ground, vine, tree, etc. Austin restaurants could really benefit taste-wise from better produce and meat. It's cool that a few of them go out of their way to develop relationships with the farmer's, but maybe they should go to the market and get some buzz going.
