chile relleno casserole

cook it in a water bath like a custard, it takes a little longer, wait for the cheese on top to brown, it takes a little longer, keep checking, IT TAKES A LITTLE LONGER! but it will happen. cheese nice and brown, eggs nice and fluffy.

Fresh Cayenne Peppers??

sweet like a red bell. the grumpy old woman at the stand was not happy that i questioned this and claims that it is a cayenne. WHAT EVER, made a dam fine relleno, had to add some spice to give it heat.

Fresh Cayenne Peppers??

the old man came home with 6 cayenne peppers from a local farm stand because they looked pretty. now what? i know they can be dryed and used fresh to add some heat but how hot are they? if i take out the seeds and ribs could they be stuffed and fryed? or still to hot for most people? they look like they would make a real pretty relleno

Great Vietnamese in Lancaster

a backed up sink? yes i know there were others, i like the inspection reports too, and i look for gross violations. most you will find in any place on any given day. last inspection, no violations.as far as altercations. that's lancaster. between the bubbas, street trash, trailer trash and frat boys this is what you get. they have had altercations at the pancake house and chucky cheese ( the fun place for kids) thy just need to leave there mom at home.

The decline of the Italian Hoagie

never had a "hoagie" till i moved to the east coast.
a hoagie here in lanc pa. is any sandwich with lettice, onion, tomato and mayo. even cheese steaks, yum! what you call a hoagie we call a italian, and there gross. greasy lunch meat with oil on top. the best i get at subs & six packs, real salami, dry, capacoli, pepproni, and any toppings you want.
