Where can I find some great tortellinis (to eat at home) I'm looking for some great tortellinis to cook at home. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations about where to buy some (home cooked, good filling with interesting combos). Thanks! |

What product would you buy an Italian foodie from Italy? I'm from "tourtière land" (Lac-Saint-Jean) and never heard of a tourtière mix. So I'm guessing this is a Montreal creation. Very odd. Would need to try it and see. Sortilège is a great idea =) |

I'm not sure why people don't love the fries at 5 Guys. They're freshly cut, nicely cooked. Maybe because most people are used to frozen fries? Maybe they prefer thin fries to bigger fries? I don't know, but personally I enjoy them a lot. |

Glad to see someone who thinks like me. Most places just put tons of sauce and you end up with a drowny mess, that's not a poutine to me. The cheese should also not melt, it should remain firm and squeaky. |

Where's the best burger in Montreal Thanks for assuming I ordered medium-well or well done, I did not. So there you go, that basically negated your entire post. |

Five Guys Burgers - Coming to Montreal ! @westaust : The Laval location works the same way as the old Montreal location you're describing, which is the good way to go about it. It really seems to be a problem with that Brossard location. |

@atlantic20000 : You can see them making the burger patties right in front of you by the butcher. From the big piece of meat all the way down to the patty. I've never seen them add any fat, so no idea why you're saying this. |

Restaurant La Belle et la Boeuf opened recently in the Centropolis area in Laval. Seems to be a burger place, kind of old style dinner type (shakes-burgers). Menu and pictures on the website : Anyone tried yet? |

Five Guys Burgers - Coming to Montreal ! Hmm that's pretty bad yeah. Definitely seems to be a problem with that location. Hopefully someone will contact the headquarters and they'll rectify it. |

The Keg will open a location at the Carrefour Laval (mall), sometime in 2012. |

Tourtière is not made with nutmeg, cloves and mashed potatoes at all. It is a beef+veal+pork mix, with cubed potatoes and pie crust all around. (I'm from the place where it's the most popular in Quebec, Lac-Saint-Jean) |
|
|
@superbossmom : May I ask what day and approximate time do you usually go to avoid the lines? |
|

Five Guys Burgers - Coming to Montreal ! Definitely everywhere. If you check their twitter, it's crazy how fast they're opening new stores (especially in the USA). |

Saul (Briskets) Ettinger's stepson to open Ettinger's Deli That guy must watch himself talk in the mirror... wow. |

IMHO, O Noir is just a gimmick and not worth it for the food. |

Oops nevermind I read incorrectly when you posted. My bad! |

Subway real prices : |

I tried many subs at Quiznos and they all feel overpowered like you mentioned, so it's not just you. I'm not going back there personally. |
|

I am from Laval but never heard of this one. I will give it a try and report back =) |

top 10 food to eat in Québec (the province)... I'm from Lac-Saint-Jean and have eaten tons of tourtière over there from all over the place. I've never seen any tourtière with diced meat. What everybody I know over there uses is ground meat but ground very big vs the regular ground meat you see everywhere. |

It seems she only tried 5 of them and rated them? Am I missing something? Doesn't make sense to me. |

Probably, because the Zero bars I remember are not from white chocolate, but milk chocolate. They also have a dark chocolate one, as Andria mentioned (packaging is gold compared to grey-silver for the milk chocolate). |

New Outdoor Section @ Atwater Market You keep bashing every restaurant here like they're pretty much all bad. I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. Seems like you have a grudge about something. Would be a bit more helpful if you would actually name which restaurant you did not like, what you ate there, the reasons why you didn't enjoy it, instead of making a complete generalization about everything. |
|
|
@kpzoo : thanks for the great review and pictures! That salmon looks mighty delicious. |
|
|
Are they sold directly in the store or do you have to ask someone about it or order it? (I'm looking for Milanos) Do you remember what kind they have? |
|

Well if it's called street food then I would assume it's small portions. Some stuff are priced higher which probably means the portion is bigger as well. We'll have to see when people try the whole menu. Personally I never eat that much, restaurants usually gives you plates so big you can't eat the whole thing anyway, let alone have space for desert. Not everyone eats like a big trucker guy =P So for me I welcome this type of restaurant. Get a couple tacos, then a delicious key lie pie, all down with a Cuba Libre, yes! |

I'm loving that menu, thanks for posting! |

Agreed with SnackHappy. That T-Rex looks disgusting to me. |

Festival de la poutine de Drummondville Ah! I've actually never noticed the 1 year default, thanks =) |

Festival de la poutine de Drummondville @kpzoo : thanks! for some reason that thread did not show when I searched, not sure why.. |
