Deep Dish Pizza in South Florida? It's not something I'd eat all the time, but after a spate of mediocre thin-crust-style pizza, I'd love to try some mediocre deep dish. :) |

Deep Dish Pizza in South Florida? Enough with the thin, cracker crust BS! Where can I get authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza down here? |

Was there today. So overrated. Burger was tepid. Small---we had the double Shack Burger. Fries were like frozen from the supermarket. I don't quite understand the hype. Burger Fi is better. Space is great and service excellent. It will do very well regardless. |

Ft Lauderdale vs Miami eating for foodies Buccan in Palm Beach is worth the drive from Ft Lauderdale. Or even from Miami. Fantastic. Chef used to be at Azul at Mandarin in Miami. |

I have heard about Rombauer, thanks! As well as Bistro Jeanty and Redd. How about Long Meadow Ranch? |

I will be staying in Yountville for three nights in February. We have already done French Laundry--lovely but once was enough. I don't want eighteen course, forty hour, zillion dollar dinners. Any suggestions on excellent, yet casual, restaurants in the areas? Also, and I hope this doesn't get me booted off this thread, but any musts on wineries that don't require reservations for tastings? I am a--don't judge--chardonnay chick. Thank you! |

You're so right about the Florida Cookery space. It's terrible. Like an afterthought. Not to mention hard to find. Flights of stairs to get there. Food is good, but it was better at the chef's original Red Light. I think chef just needs to find his groove there. I hope. He's one of the most original we've got. |

Nick’s New Haven-Style Pizzeria & Bar (Boca Raton) Y'all need to try Rosso, the Italian half of Red, The Steakhouse in the old Mario's space. Pizza is fantastic. The salumi selection isn't found anywhere else in Boca to my knowledge and prices are very reasonable. The chef there was the former sous at Red in South Beach. |

Good eats in Destin/Seaside/etc. Great stuff! Oh yes, we have Miller's Ale Houses all over Florida. No harm or foul indeed but....haha. Thanks again. Will report back! |

You can get pork belly almost anywhere in So Flo these days. You can't get authentic Mexican a la EdSA. Another suggestion if you like the 'belly, is a brand new spot in South Boca, not too far from FLL: Rebel House. Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Re... |

Eduardo is still fantastic. Was just there recently and it didn't disappoint. |

Good eats in Destin/Seaside/etc. Fantastic! Thanks so much Nancy! This is exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to check these places out. |

Nick’s New Haven-Style Pizzeria & Bar (Boca Raton) The clam pizza rocks and last week I went and discovered they have traditional pizza as well (not on the menu), which we ordered and sucked down blissfully. Freaker--try Rosso next. |

Good eats in Destin/Seaside/etc. Alrghtey, then. I guess I'll stick to where I've been. Thanks anyway. |

Palm Beach - Need Bar & Restaurant Recommendations For a real contrast in worlds, check this place out not terribly far in Boynton Beach: http://cuthillsbackyard.com/ |

There's a place in Ft. Lauderdale on the water called Coconuts and it just opened an oyster bar next door. Is that what you are talking about? |
Really, really, really good chicken wings? EMac, you had me at habanero. Thanks! |

Good eats in Destin/Seaside/etc. haven't been to the area since 2010 and I was pregnant then so couldn't go too nuts on food and drink. returning next month and looking to make up for what i missed out on hahha. prior to that, I've been to the restaurant at Water color, cafe 30A, bud n alley's and its pizza, shrimp and taco place, great southern cafe, red bar, and a cute spot on alys beach whose name escapes me as well as a place i think was called fire on grayton beach or something of that nature. I liked it all! what are the new(ish) musts these days for food and drink? |

Rosso, the Italian half of Boca's Red, The Steakhouse Ha my husband and I said the same thing about the lack of the douchey Boca crowd, but that place ain't gonna survive on a few of us nice folk. |
Really, really, really good chicken wings? excellent factoid! And by shockingly I meant because it's a mini chain and you know how those places typically fare as far as 'bests' are concerned. |

Really, really, really good chicken wings? Clarke's wings rock as do, shockingly, Bru's Room's. |
Rosso, the Italian half of Boca's Red, The Steakhouse were there people there? |
Rosso, the Italian half of Boca's Red, The Steakhouse Oh good! Looking forward to your thoughts. I hope it makes it. Italian is a dime a dozen in Boca, but this one's the most contemporary yet. And not just in decor. Would be a shame if it didn't succeed. |
Rosso, the Italian half of Boca's Red, The Steakhouse Not a single comment either. Weird. |
I'd skip Bianca , Spice or not. Overrated, overpriced Italian food. |
Tanzy is visually appealing but the food is another story. Too much sauce, too much fruit in savory food, and too much fanfare trying to compete with the ambiance. Yuck. |
I heard Katsuya isn't doing well at all |
I am so glad you told me about chili willie's because every time we pass it, I comment and say I wonder how that place is! Good to know! We had lunches at Islamorada Fish Co., Lorelai and Morada Bay. Best food of the three was Morada Bay but all in all it's pretty much the same fish and fish sandwich, I think. Agree with you on Snapper's too. |

Love Lazy Days! Will have to check out Made to Order next time. Also, I noticed a new (since I've been there ages ago anyway) spot called Chef Michael's--his tagline is intriguing : "Peace, Love and Hogfish" |
