Best Dim Sum In SF

I'm going to revive this thread, as this was the exact same question I was going to ask. Has anything changed, what are the consensus top 2-3 Dim Sum places in SF. Location doesn't matter to me, nor does price, thank you in advance!

Hi Folks,

I am renting a cottage for a month in August just east of Honey Harbour and I am looking for any and all food recommendations for the areas in the title.

I found very few threads on these areas on Chowhound, so any and all advice would be very greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
Major

Canmore - Aromas Mexican Restaurant

I've been living in Canmroe for the past 6 months and I've been to Aromas several times. The food is excellent and the owners take great pride in what they do. I highly recommend it!

On a side note, Canmore in general has awesome food, much better than Banff imo.

how many gelaterias in Calgary?

There is a great gelato shop in Mackenzie Towne in the SE, called Uptowne Gelato.

As for how many gelaterias we have, the last Gelateria census was in 1979, so it would be difficult for us to tell you with any certainty as of today.

Pizza Construction in Canmore

I've been eating breakfast a lot at Summit Cafe, which has very god food and excellent Latte's. The owner told me about the evening Thai, I will have to try it out this week, thx.

Pizza Construction in Canmore

I've been living in Canmore this winter and love this Pizza! We usally order the "Overloaded", which is wonderful!

In fact the food in Canmore and restaurants, as a whole, are fantastic!!

Where can I find Rugelach or Babka in Calgary?! Mail order?

You should call Polcan Meat or Heritage Bakery and Deli.

Best wines around town? Favorite Canadian wines?

Metrovino is my favorite wine shop in Calgary, the staff are incredibly helpful. The staff always take the time to explain the wines to you and are never snobby.

Where is Owner of Bison Courtyard Gone?

It was Bison Bistro...now 'Bison Restaurant and Lounge'..no idea where the owner is.

Calgary Co-op Turducken

As an alternative, Valbella meats out of Canmore also make Turducken's. I made one for my family for US thanksgiving and it was awesome!

Milano's Express, Calgary

omg, a delicious Italian Veal Sandwich is exactly what Calgary needs, mmm.

Han's (Cgy): Handover complete

They were/are such nice hard working people I hope they have a great retirement...And thx for the update, that is encouraging.

Just curious, is the entire menu the same?

Thats a pretty cool story about the s'mores beggsy.

We'll certainly do places like Earl's but I was hoping to take them to some unique Calgary spots as well.

So far on my list I have:

Looking for kid friendly restaurants in YYC, help!

I've got friends coming into town, they have an 8 year old and a 2 year old...I don't have kids.

Can you folks help me with suggestions for some good restaurants that I can take the kids? Obviously I want the kids to be happy but also its my understanding the 2 year old can be 'less than cooperative' at times.

I really want to take my friends for a great steak dinner and was hoping to go to The Ranche but I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Does anyone have experience taking kids to The Ranche...or any other great Calgary restaurants?

Hans Restaurant - YYC

This makes me very sad, I will really miss Mama Han.

Jasper to Kamloops via Hwy 5...Anything good in between?

Bump...Anything? Anything at all?

Jasper to Kamloops via Hwy 5...Anything good in between?

My family will be traveling from Jasper thru Kamloops to Vancouver next week and I was hoping there was somewhere good in between to stop for food.

Specifically, we will probably need a lunch stop somewhere on Highway 5 from Jasper to Kamloops. Are there any hidden gems along this road that chowhounders can share? Thanks.

Sea Fish & Chips - new owners?

I posted my thoughts about the new ownership on my Urbanspoon review here...http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/15/1420330/restaurant/Southeast/Sea-Fish-nChips-Calgary

If you never had it before the change you'd probably say it was average and fine. However, this place was so amazing before the ownership change. They no longer serve the great curry sauce they had, fries are not served fresh, different tartar sauce, watery gravy for poutine...I could go on but such is life :(
