Good Seafood Place (oysters a must) near public transportation.

Bart to the Embarcadero and walk to the Ferry Building. Hog Island for oysters and the rest of the building for anything else. It ain't elegant but it should be fun.

Road trip from Smithsburg, MD to Montoursville, PA

Montoursville misspelled according to google maps. I'm sure Pennsylvanians would know that but being in Berkeley I had to look it up in case my PA family was nearby and could help. Too far.

900 Grayson Breakfast/Brunch recs

I went one morning too early and the waffle batter was not ready. Sort of like my post on
Guiness from the tap. My breakfast was good with eggs over very hard, toast and an excellent hash brown patty. The bacon was ok but not ethereal even with the source. I guess I'm not a bacon sort of guy. Call before to check you go so you will know when chicken and waffles are available.

In-N-Out Burger near SFO

I was wrong in this post. Get these folks out of the airport and across the bridge.
I was only making fun of robert's question about a full sushi restaurant at 9AM. With
the traffic to and from Japan and the time difference it might really make sense.

Napa trip

That is it. Megababedeluxe left out the detail that they went to Berkeley. Berkeley and Napa the city are about 40 miles apart. Napa Valley is further and is different cities; Yountville, St Helena and Calistoga etc. Locals tend to lump them as Napa Valley. As in
I'm going to the French Laundry in Napa .

Do not dawdle south of the Golden Gate. Scoot before the afternoon traffic buildup
and following jungleboy's route it is 25 miles and about 35 minutes to INO Mill
Valley. It's the exit right after the Richardson Bay Bridge. Then Melanie's route to
Napa. You didn't specify. Is it the City of Napa or just Napa Valley.

recs for Kensington Bistro

Courtesy of liujenny recently:

My boyfriend took me to the Kensington Bistro today for brunch, such a bright, pretty and cozy space! We ordered the famous "The Number Nine" as well as a Fresh Strawberry Pancakes that's on the brunch specials menu. As everyone says, the Number Nine is outstanding... crispy potato pancake on the bottom with just the right amount of crunchy bacon shreds topped with creamy hollandaise sauce and eggs on top. The pancakes were fluffy and good, but they are just pancakes with sliced strawberries on top. Both of these came with a small cup of fresh fruits. Overall, a very nice neighborhood restaurant with very friendly service.

Healdsburg help, please

Years ago I took my son to the Madrona Manor. I enjoyed my meal but you could use an updated review. My boy asked to order from the prie fixe menu and I acquiesced on the condition that he, being veggie averse, eat everything even if it was red, green or purple. The first course was white asparagus apparently not covered in the oral agreement.
They substituted carpaccio.

Chinese/Asian splurge

Koi Palace is difficult to get to by public transit and probably prohibitive by cab.
Empress of China is 1/2 mile and not an unpleasant walk from Union Sq. Tommy Toys
is 1 mile.Based on a quick net search the fare to 365 Gellert, Daly City for Koi Palace a distance of 11.5 miles is about $27. Bart to Daly City and a cab is beyond my capabilities without more data, size of party. Cab fare $2.85 first 1/5 mile, 45cents each additional.

Sushi San Francisco

Akiko's Sushi Bar, 542 Mason. Near by. Has good reviews. No boats. Small. Perhaps someone can fill in the latest word on quality or go by reviews. I went down the sushi road with my son. He developed a habit of never ordering anything but the most expensive thing on the menu. Good luck.
