Wedding at Weber Ranch/Della Fattoria?
Hi Melanie,
Thanks for the info! My fiancé is concerned that if the daytime weather is in the 90s during the day, it would still be uncomfortable for guests for an early dinner. Do you think an August evening would work?
Thanks, ws
Wedding at Weber Ranch/Della Fattoria?
Hi anaguillen! Thank you for the reply! That is great to know. Would Weber Ranch be able to accommodate the wedding to occur on-site? For example, no music or anything like that -- just having someone marry us before we have dinner?
I have called the cafe but it was always hard to hear the other person and I didn't feel like I could freely ask questions. Would you have a (better) contact?
Again, thanks so much!
WS
Wedding at Weber Ranch/Della Fattoria?
Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to do one of Della Fattoria's Friday Night Dinners. It seems like I can book a "Friday Night Dinner"-like event, like for my wedding.
I'm looking for a place with yummy food and laid-back environment and it seems Weber Ranch fits the bill.
If you can share your experience, I'd most appreciate it. And if anyone can share some insight as to when, that would also be most helpful. I was looking at a date in August, but would it be too warm?
Thanks in advance!
Kindest regards,
WS

Making the most of a "French Laundry" weekend
wow, thank you so much for the responses so far! :)
Making the most of a "French Laundry" weekend
Hi SKWID,
Thank you for the recommendations! So off season is after September?
Making the most of a "French Laundry" weekend
Great point! We will likely be going in the fall, because as you astutely pointed out, reservations have to be made so far in advance.
There is a part of that is inclined to make the dollar stretch more, but with this recent advancement for me, my boyfriend and I wanted to mark it with a special evening at the FL, a place I have babbled on about for years to him. . . lol.
Again, any B&Bs, sights to see, etc. recommendations would be most appreciated!
Making the most of a "French Laundry" weekend
Hello all,
First, advance apologies if I missed the thread that covered this. I went through a number of them and was not successful in finding an answer.
My boyfriend and I are celebrating a big accomplishment in my life and he wants to take me to the FL (I know, terribly lucky girl!).
We would like to make a three day, two night weekend trip out of this venture to this infamous restaurant. Neither of us has been to the area, including Napa Valley. We would love to explore the area but have heard to stay away from Napa Valley and go to the surrounding areas instead of a wine country experience.
I would love recommendations for bed&breakfasts, other places to eat, sites to see, vineyards to try. Any help would be most appreciated.
PS. Although the FL is on the itinerary, we actually have to budget conscious. . . thanks again!!
Thanks in advance, WS
ISO: Vietnamese GREEN sticky rice
Hi CeeT19,
Thanks so much! Now I know what to look for and what it is exactly! And you're right on, I did and still do have a hankering for it. :)
ISO: Vietnamese GREEN sticky rice
Hi,
A few years ago, I lived with a Vietnamese friend whose mom used to buy this bright green colored sticky rice. It had a light coconut flavor to it and was very tacky. We used to break off sections of it and warm it in the microwave to eat it.
My friend said her mom got this rice from the best place in San Jose.
By chance, would anyone know what this rice is called and if this infamous place exists?
Kindest regards, WS
