Thank you Collardman, I will take a cab ride out to Buck town, always wanted to check that area out. The last couple of times in NOLA during the spring, we have eaten at Deanies in the FQ and the boil crawfish wasn't bad.

Where to find 25 cent oysters in new orleans

Someone on the board wrote that Luke's happy hours oysters are 50 cent each. I would call Luke's and confrim that price. Acme raw oyster price have gone up.

Glorious Mess: My relatively un-traumatic wedding report

Thank you Hazelhurst and Uptown on the cash request instead of credit cards at Montrel's Bistro question, I see, hiding the cash take under the table. I have walked by this place many times going to the french market, they always seem to have a pot of boiling water outside the restaurant with a host standing outside with menus to lure you in. Please read trip adviser, bad, bad reveiws on this restaurant Montrel's Bistro.

Glorious Mess: My relatively un-traumatic wedding report

Sorry to hear about the bad food and losing your cookies, Question, why was the restaurant being so persistant that your father pay cash?

Closet NOLA lover seeks...

www.lacrawfish.com

roro1831 try this place call LAcrawfish, they have boiled and live crawfish by the pound, LA Crawfish ships over night FED EX. I have been ordering boil crawfish from LAcrawfish company for the last couple years. The boiled crawfish are not bad, you just have to warm them up, live crawfish are always better.

People ask me the same question too, why do we always travel to NOLA? We visit NOLA three times a year, we love the city of NOLA, the food and people.

Comments on Commander's Jazz Brunch

Sorry, noradeirdre, roro1831 beat me to the punch, I too checked Commander's web site about Saturday's jazz brunch. Now I know that I can have the Jazz brunch on Saturdays too.

Comments on Commander's Jazz Brunch

Commander's Palace Jazz Brunch is only offer on Sunday. You must try the Sunday Jazz Brunch at Commander's Palace at least one time. Oyster absinthe done and the bread pudding souffle are my favovite.

NOLA Diary, 12/8-12/11; Long and Boring

Thank you for the great dining report. Love staying at Omni Royal Orleans Hotel in the FQ. We will be going to NOLA at the end of February. I can't wait to have the lunch special menu at August, I have read great reveiws on chow about the 29.00 three course meal. On your next visit to NOLA, try Stanley's for breakfast and Commander's Palace for Sunday Jazz brunch.

Thank you for the tips...here's where to find us for the next 3 1/2 days.

That's the kind of eating scheduled I like. Eat, drink and be happy. Have a great time in NOLA.

Enjoy.
