ISO good/interesting restaurant in Calgary
I ran across a video of momoyama the other day. If you want to see what the sushi looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlQ07l_u-IQ
I had the chance to check it out. The sushi choices are limited to the basics. It keeps the prices lower. The other odd thing they do is deep fry the kama. Quicker I guess, but not as good as broiling it. That's just my opinion. It's good casual sushi for a quick bite.
The Return of Soba Ten
This place was my favorite back in the day, but slowly sunk into an abyss, devoid of passion. I hope you are right, cause that would be great for them. I miss Jacqueline and good Sansai Soba.
Zipang Sushi (Calgary)
I go there regularly and I have never been disappointed yet. I always order sushi a la carte on top of a dinner combo with tempura for the kids. I love the different daily appetizers that come with the dinners too. The service is fast. It's a little more pricy than Sobaten but well worth every penny. Kampai Tanaka San!!
Poutine In Calgary???
I agree with yen. The MSM is inconsistent, but I always ask for the fatty parts of the brisket. It's probably the best poutine in town though.
