Thanks for all the ideas. I had just made reservations at Gordon Ramsay's Maze. Hope it's good!

Looking for early dinner ideas near or around theater district

I know a couple coming into town for a theater weekend. A somewhat wealthy couple, the wife was a mentor to me back when I was in college and would like to meet with me for an early dinner this Saturday night before their show and have asked me to pick the place. Funny enough, I recently moved to Hells Kitchen but don't care to eat out in the neighborhood besides take out. I'm sure they have eaten in a few fine restaurants in their day. I'd like something special, but do not want to be too presumptuous and pick a location that is too pricey. Any suggestions??

Saturday UES museum brunch

I have some friends coming in from Philly on Saturday. We're planning on checking out a few of the Museums on the UES. Any ideas for brunch? They're kind of foodies and I'm sure would be down for something unique or just a good quality American brunch. Any ideas?

Lugo Cafe right next to Penn Station, 33rd and 8th. Rustic pizzas and pastas. Their Pomodoro is soo good.

Actually, a friend recomended Salt Creek Grille in Rumpson. Looks nice, they have a champagne buffet brunch for $29. We may try that. Anyone been?

Funny enough, I called them yesterday and after Father's Day, they are closed for the season.

Looking for 30th birthday brunch ideas down the Jersey Shore.

I am coming in from NYC in about three weeks to spend some time with my family in Central NJ for my 30th birthday. I am thinking about a Sunday birthday brunch down in the shore area, possibly near water, or if not on the shore, somewhere with a scenic or celebratory atmosphere. The party is for around 12 people and we are looking to keep the cost down. After some online research I came across David Burke Fromagerie in Rumpson. The food and atmosphere look good, but am trying to keep an eye out for another location with good solid food that may be a few $$ less. Any brunch ideas??
