Engagement Party
I recently had my engagement party for 50 people at Lucky Strike Bistro in SoHo. Brad, the manager, was pleasure to work with and their staff was attentive. We brought in some flowers to dress it up, but they provided little votive candles. We had passed apps and an open bar from 4-7 on a sunday right between their brunch and dinner crowds and it worked out perfectly. The restaurant itself is so cute, french bistro vibe.

Moderate Brunch in Tribeca/Soho
Odeon is great. Good for groups. Also Bleue Gans - but its austrian, I think. Can't really go wrong with Odeon.
Cesca or Telepan? Birthday Dinner for Mom Friday Night.
I live on the UWS and will be taking my mom with to dinner for her 64th birthday on Friday night (party of 5). I have reservations at Telepan and Cesca - two places I have not been, but hear they are good. Not sure which one to go with. I passed on Dovetail because I thought it may be a bit too formal and something like Kefi or Cafe Freida are too casual. I dont love Nice Matin and Ouest is booked. Looking for good food, a lively, warm environment, and good service. Telepan? Cesca? I got a bit of a tourist spot vibe from Cesca when I walked by it the other night, but I am not sure. You tell me. Thanks all.
