Corvina in South Florida
Corvina as used in Miami is a Pacific gamefish commonly called white sea bass in Califfornia locations,(Cynoscion sp.-ref. McClanes Fishing Encyclopedia), usually found near coasts or beaches.
It is a white sweet, firm tasting fillet great for most dishes and also used in ceviches especially from Peru. I am not familiar with it being used as a generic term for the fish you listed.
