Not a brewpub but if you're looking for some brews then Two Roads in Stratford is a must visit. They don't serve food but they do have food trucks in the parking lot on the weekends. |

Bar B-Q Milford, CT - It IS Reopened! Reopening as GG's Wood Fired Pizza |

Big Bubba's Mohegan Sun - CLOSED? Says they're closed for good and another restaurant is moving in soon. |

Dearth of Good Delivery Options in Devon(Milford, CT) Huh...Bar is probably my #1 NH pizza of choice too. Guess I'm just a sucker for Papa's sausage and hot pepper pie...and the kids love it too. [shrug] |

pepe's "sorry no clams" question Zuppardi's in West Haven. Hands down. |

Dearth of Good Delivery Options in Devon(Milford, CT) Pizza in Milford? Uh...nobody is better than Papa's on Naugatuck Avenue. They have a second location as well. The Naugatuck Ave spot has a couple picnic tables outside for dining "in" when the weather is good. Their pizza is right up there with some of the best from New Haven/West Haven. Easily. |

Bridgeport Lobster & Shellfish - Knowlton Street, Bridgeport, CT Their lobster prices are among the best in the area and we've never been disappointed with the size and quality. In fact, my in-laws only get their lobster from here. |

Fairfield County Neighborhood Italian Restaurants-Solid Food with reasonable prices Pizza was EH. Not bad but nothing to write home about either. The sauce was pretty flavorless too. BTW, I know it was a Monday and all but there was NO ONE in the restaurant side (we were in the banquet room) the entire time our party was there (6-8PM). Pretty odd. There wasn't even a sole person at the bar either. And by comparison Parker in the same plaza had quite a good crowd inside. Even before Monday Night Football was set to begin. |

Fairfield County Neighborhood Italian Restaurants-Solid Food with reasonable prices How's the pizza at Stella's? Going there tonight for an end of season football party. Doesn't sound too promising from what I've read elsewhere. |

Windmill in Stratford...closed? With the Windmill it's all about the Porchetta. If they keep that... |
|

Best pumpkin pie + apple pie in Connecticut? Michele's pies are orgasmic. |

Windmill in Stratford...closed? Re-opening in a few weeks. The renovations look pretty impressive. |

Either Ixtapa truck is excellent and the black Nexcalli truck parked in a spot further up the road is also very good. Make sure you get the Lengua tacos and ask for them extra spicy. Also, the Santa Apolonia truck doesn't get much love but their Chorizo tacos are tasty. Oh yeah...the yellow truck marked simply "Mexican Food" is also top notch. Their Pastor pork is the one to try. |

Visiting University of Connecticut in Storrs for 2 day We've been going there for over 10 years now. But mostly for the beer, sure. The food isn't OMFG chow worthy, sure...but David and Co. do a great job of making this place a continued destination whenever we're near the casino (two evils, beer is mine and gambling is my wife's). The house beers always take on a Post Office theme in their names too which is pretty cool (SWAK Stout anyone?). And it's right around the corner from this place if you're into Christmas-y knick-knacks and collectibles. |

Visiting University of Connecticut in Storrs for 2 day "I would not recommend this to visiting parents." Maybe not at night but it's perfectly acceptable during the day or early evening. We've been there many times with our kids (now 8 and 10) and never had a problem with drunks or rowdy college kids. Especially if you sit on the dining room side of the restaurant and not the bar side. And Willimantic sure is unique. How many other restaurants are in on old post office? The building itself is a marvel. Especially how they retrofitted the brewing system into the building. |

Visiting University of Connecticut in Storrs for 2 day Definitely Willimantic Brewing Co. But Willington Pizza nearby is a decent spot with some good pies. |

http://stratford.patch.com/articles/b... Taking over the Blue Point Grill soon. Glad to have them back for sure! |

Windmill in Stratford...closed? Interesting...I can't believe Rudy finally sold the place! Hope nothing changes though. Talk about a nostalgic local haunt that should remain that forever. My Mom and Dad met there over ~40 years ago. |

Awesome! There's a menu, photo and coupons for 50% off Banh Mi at their FB page. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?se... Coupons are good all October. Pho looks pho-cking good! |

Stamford - Kumo Japanese "Ultimate Buffet" Coming Soon? Love the children's pricing menu! Do you actually measure the child before they order? "Children(Age 12 & Under) |

HUT WINGS radius from Middletown to Manchester Have you tried Eli Cannon's? If you like them hot...this is the place to burn your face off. |
|
|
Anyone been yet? Right on East Main St. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?se... A few friends who play football with my son love the place. Looks really nice and they have a wide array of offerings. Porketta and Tripe? Plus homemade pasta sauces? Sure looks to be a step up from the old place that used to be in that space. |

When they first opened in Southport their beers were actually good as well. Once they expanded they started to spread themselves out too thin I think. Maybe I'll swing by the Stamford spot soon and check out a sampler of their beers. Their fall seasonal Southtoberfest was always at least decent. |

Wasn't it a Bennigan's as well? Seems oddly similar to the old Bennigan's location in Milford which has been umpteen different restaurants since. If a location sucks...it sucks. BTW, SBC was at least in Hamden for a while though, no? |

Burger along Merritt/Rt 15 or I-91 between Norwalk-Hartford? Went there Saturday with the family after a football game. It was definitely FG, all around. My wife even ordered the Mac Balls which were deep fried Mac N Cheese wrapped in bacon with a spicy edge to them. She was OMG'ing the whole time. Burgers were excellent as well. Brisket and chili on a burger? Indeed. The mixed batch of regular and sweet potato fries on the side were also top notch. Definitely a place to hit for burgers and dogs when in the area. |

Not surprising. Drive by when visiting my nephew and have never seen more than a handful of cars in the parking lot. So it's probably a good business decision if they weren't doing well in that location. The other pubs do well though, which has always surprised me given the quality of the beer and seemingly overpriced for what you get food. To each their own though. I've heard their beer quality has improved of late though? I walk by the Stamford location twice daily and just can't force myself inside to bother and sample any, given my past experiences. |

Newburgh Brewing Company-- Beer lovers take note!!! Good to hear! Love that most of their beers are sub 4.5% ABV as well. We'll have to plan a weekend trip up there soon with a trunkload of empty growlers in tow. |

Vietnam Palace [split thread] [Stratford, Ct] Just a heads up to any "hot" food fans. If you go and order a Banh Mi (or whatever) and want it hot ask for a side of the red sauce they include with the spring rolls. Not sure if it's Sriracha based or what but OMFG is it excellent. And spicy too. They only include a dab of it with the spring rolls too. I can drink this stuff it's so good. Crap...now I want a Banh Mi and it's only 10:45AM! |

Seeking restaurant recommendations for New Hampshire and Vermont If you've got a sweet tooth pit in to Chutters in Littleton, NH in between North Conway and VT. http://www.chutters.com/candy/ The whole town of Littleton has a bunch of "touristy" stores near Chutters as well. If you're a beer aficianado then head to Moat Mountain Smokehouse in North Conway and then when in VT do not miss any and all the Hill Farmstead beers you see on tap. |
