Kitchen design: Bulthaup, Poggenpohl. Any experiences?
I would buy an American made product that's similar rather than a German product.
European cabinetry only comes in metric sizes; does not have the standard size range of American cabinets and base cabinets are not quite 24" deep.
Fitting American appliances becomes more difficult.

It's a green product, very well made in Iowa, and completely custom.
Of course, if it's more important to you to own a "name", that's up to you.

New kitchen to design - now what?
I think what you need is a kitchen designer. If you have too little time for research, it's best to rely on a pro to whittle down your choices to manageable bites.
There are fine kitchen designers in San Francisco. Look for a CKD.
