First Soft Shell Crabs Sighting
Abigail's in Kendall Sq have run several Soft Shell specials lately.
Fried Clams?
Stopped by Courthouse Seafood Restaurant for the first time in years the other day. Had a clam strip roll (not a fan of bellies) and it was fantastic. $6 ish bucks with fries!
Seeking good "bad" Chinese-American food in the inner western burbs (Belmont / Arlington / Lexington / Watertown / Waltham, maybe Cambridge and Somerville)
I really like New Yummy Hut in Somerville. Awesome ribs and Scallion pancakes.

One more recommendation for a special dinner PLEASE!
Not sure if you'd be into it but what about the Whole Pig Roast at Citizen? It's served family style and includes sides and shellfish to start. I think it would run you about $500 for the meal leaving you a couple of hundred for drinks. It might be a really fun and unique post wedding meal. Just a thought. Good luck!
Highland Kitchen ????
The tables are pretty well spaced particularly if you get a booth. The bar area can get crowded. It's certainly not like the north end where there is 2 inches between tables. The food is solid as are the cocktails. It does get crowded so maybe plan on being there earlier in the evening to cater to your friends comfort zone? Great place though. I go there as often as possible.
One Day, 7 pizzas
Wow thanks buddy. It's now 11:35 and I must have pizza. Nowhere decent open now!:). Curious about Santarpios. Love the Boston location.
Green Street Grill, maybe the kitchen was having an off night?
Nice! I'll check it out!

Me too! Anyone know when they are opening?
Local sources for hog casings?
Just go early in the morning to avoid the maddening crowds :)
Local sources for hog casings?
Yep, Market Basket in Somerville. Just got some yesterday.
Need a restaurant or a 2-go meal that will cheer me up
Interesting you should mention that place. I stumbled upon it today and tried it and was a little underwhelmed. Didn't hold up to my favorite bahn mi from 163(?) Harrison. That sandwich rocks.
Looking for breakfast (Woburn to Somerville).
I'm a big fan of Ball Square Cafe. The eggs Benedict with Artichokes and tomatoes are delicious. Also try the fried mashed potatoes.

favorite breakfast places
Oh god, City Girl just broke my heart. I've been going there for years for their egg and asparagus sandwich. On and off, maybe 3 times a year when the craving struck. Well, the craving struck so I drove over to get one and now apparently it's a seasonal item. Killed me! I've been eating them for probably 8-10 years.
favorite breakfast places
I'm a creature of habit. I love oysters and the duck tortilla @ East Coast Grill. If I'm feeling adventurous ( or maybe just not predictable) then it's pulled pork hash at Highland Kitchen. If I can handle a booze free brunch then I love the artichoke eggs bene at Ball Sq Cafe. With the fried mashed potato, of course.

Kendall Square: The Boston's Area's Next Restaurant Row?
Yes, it's nice to support a local business with great product. The coffee at Voltage is fantastic ( so I'm completely addicted to the sea salt caramel latte) and now that I hear the neighborhood is expanding, I really think Kendall will be a competitive dining destination. Best of luck to all those new restaurants.
Kendall Square: The Boston's Area's Next Restaurant Row?
Yes,I believe its right next next to Voltage. Thats a great coffee shop too.
Best Boston Cheap Eats?
The Bahn Mi at 163 Harrison. The best $3 I've ever eaten. Delicious!
Kendall Square: The Boston's Area's Next Restaurant Row?
Also Abigail's Restaurant is opening on 3rd Street. From what I hear the owner is the former chef from The B Side and he is bringing in a former chef from the East Coast Grill. The concept from what I've seen on their Facebook page is neighborhood restaurant with craft beer and cocktails.

Kendall Square: The Boston's Area's Next Restaurant Row?
It's sure looking that way. I'd love to see it happen. Kendall Square is crying out for new places to cater to all the residents that have moved there in the last few years. It really lacks a night life scene.
Improper Best Burger - Radius
I totally agree. Give me an In n Out animal style any day.
Taste of Somerville
Sadly I couldn't make it to Taste of Somerville tonight. Any standout restaurants? I'm always looking for something new to try. Thanks!

Buona Vita Arlington reopened?
I've eaten there and really enjoyed the pizza. The owner previously owned a pizzaria in europe and as previously stated, was the chef at Mare. The staff are really warm and friendly and the prices are great ( great affordable wine options too!)
cambridge/somerville dinner?
East Coast Grill is one of my favorite places in Cambridge for dinner. The food is consistent and the cocktails are great. Its always got a very fun atmosphere too.
Venue in Harvard Square or surrounding areas for an office holiday party
How about Daedalus or Casablanca?
