Curry leaves for sale at May Wah on Clement
I’ll confirm that the Indian curry leaves are still there, in the produce cooler with the other fresh herbs (after the vegetables). They are pre-packed in plastic bags and labeled “bay leaves,” but the fragrance gives them away. They are unlike European bay leaves or Indian /t̪ezpət̪t̪a/.
Dry, hard salame question
I received an Italian dry salame (Molinari brand, http://www.molinarisalame.com/p_salames.html) as a gift and don't know quite what to make of it. I've kept it in the refrigerator, but I don't know how it was handled before I got it.
The first issue is that, no matter how hard I press and saw, I can't cut into it more than 1/8" or so (total diameter is about 1"). The second issue is that it seems to be covered with a fine paper or other layer that carries a brand stamp. Should this layer be removed?
Does anyone know the correct method way of using this foodstuff?
