Farm to Fork 2012 [Triangle, NC] This is a fundraiser. $100 is what the organizers need to charge to raise enough money to make all the effort worth it. If you have a problem with the price do not attend. I am sure it will still sell out. |

The price range is from $4-$15 and I agree that a great deal of the the food is $8 and under. Mustardgirl you must not understand the cost of opening a restaurant and the small profit margin that they survive on. The owners of Curate have nothing to be ashamed of. The quality of the food is excellent and I am excited that they are bringing authentic tapas to Asheville. |

Driving from RDU to Chapel Hill - Nice place for lunch? I agree with walras, having eaten at Siena many times over the last 10 years the last few meals I have had in there in the last 2 years were the worst I have had in the triangle. Overpriced, bland, and poorly executed food. Service was adequate but uninspired. |

Fresh Market is coming to Chapel Hill First off bacon is made from the belly not from the back. I was only responding to your statement " Bacon from the butcher's counter? you mean you CUT IT IN HOUSE? " This statement is vague and does not imply that it is made at Fresh Market. Just cause they cut it in house does not mean they cure it as well. Why dont you ask them where it comes from and then include that important information in your original post. Then this discussion would not be necessary. |

Triangle NC Farm to Fork Picnic Probably Scott Mclean, who cooked the pig with Matt Neal that year at the dinner. I believe they cooked it on a bed spring in a cool tin contraption. Definitely the best whole pig at the dinner. |

Asheville: Best Saturday morning farmers market? I prefer north Asheville market at unca. Fully shaded, plenty of parking, and alot of the same farms as the city market. Many unique old timer farmers. Mars hill sat. Artisan market is nice as well. Got some fresh amazing GA shrimp and asparagus from Cynthia Camilleri (828-776-6476) Call ahead to pre order or to make sure she has them. Has anyone been to the Marshall market on sunday afternoon? |

Asheville - help us cut one from our list I was not impressed with corner kitchen but I would have to say stay away from Zambras. We had a terrible meal there recently, rubbery frozen "contessa" shrimp, hockey puck omlette, and horrible misuse of clove. |
