One $$$ meal in Barcelona: Gelonch? Cinc Sentis? Hisop? Commerc24?

Do you want 'Molecular Gastronomy', which Barcelona is so famous for, or more traditional?

Fun! Well, not sure if a lid is a no-no, I guess the temperature of the heat would make a difference---*shrugs*..Did you take any pictures?

Help me make Tortilla de Patata! Pretty please with parsley on top?

Thank you everyone for your advice!! I really feel more able to achieve what I want after reading all of your posts. The suggest to let mixture rest for 20 minutes I think will help with the 'chemistry' and will definitely take a look at Penelope Casas' book!
besos!

Help me make Tortilla de Patata! Pretty please with parsley on top?

Thanks Paul! Well, I just can't get it to be high enough and the consistency isn't cohesive as the potatoes stay separated from the egg. It was too much like when I made this: http://www.justhungry.com/2004/04/mor...
with some eggs awkwardly thrown into the mix. Does this help? It feel like the chemistry behind this dish was off..
I have attached a photo the place that started my Tortilla de Patata obsession

I LOVE Tortilla de Patata but have been unable to have it since leaving Spain! Can anyone provide me with their recipe or a link to a recipe for this super-yummy dish? One that is foolproof? THANK YOU! My rendering of it was very sad :(

Random Question About Caviar..

Thank you M.! I am a caviar novice and bought it on whim--was in a russian grocer and really just kinda grabbed it w/o thought..

Anyone else "allergic" to or HATE the taste of cilantro? Are there any substitutions?

Sorry nothing really comes to mind except maybe parsley marinated in lemon juice..Cilantro tastes green and very lemony to me..So interesting, this perceptive you and your father have with cilantro. I can't imagine it tasting metallic or soapy..but so interesting that you both do AND that it could be genetic! Sorry, it must be annoying to you :S.

Random Question About Caviar..

I will be driving for 12 hours tomorrow and would like to bring some caviar with me to my destination. It is salmon, it's in a can, and directions say that it has to stay at 20F. Is it possible to keep it cool like that in my car? And would I be able to freeze it tonight to help with keeping cool for tomorrow..Suggestions?!

Barcelona / 10th Wedding Anniversary

Thanks! Okay...so let me put it this way..where would you go for something like my 10th anniversary celebration. You seem to really know the area quite well and are obviously a person with fantastic taste(pun intended).

Barcelona / 10th Wedding Anniversary

I actually had looked through past-postings , but didn't see anything that made me go 'yes, I know that will work'. I know that Barcelona would have a lot of great seafood places, being that it is close to the sea, but having just gone to Lisbon and really being unhappy with most of the seafood I ate I want to be sure it is truly a restaurant's speciality.

Barcelona / 10th Wedding Anniversary

My husband and I are going to Barcelona for one week this coming August to celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary. I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some suggestions for dining for the actual night of the anniversary.

We want something seaside with a great view, a great reputation for seafood, and great service. Also, we definitely want something upscale just not too trendy. If it isn't exactly seaside that is okay too:/ Any ideas, thoughts? Thank you in advance
