Looking for the Best Pasta in LA County

I want to take my girl out to a really nice and classy place to eat. She loves pasta, and I love meat; and we both love filling proportions. I've got a budget of up to around $100 per person, anyone got any recommendations that will satisfy the both of us?

Julienne's in San Marino

I was wondering how long the wait on Saturday mornings around 9-10 at Julienne's? I went there once last year on a weekend and the wait was pretty long but I don't remember the time frame.

I'm planning out a special day for my girlfriend and I for Saturday, and I've got to be able to make a special showing for a movie in Monrovia at 12pm. I know it's all the way across the SGV from each other, but I loved Julienne's the one time I went and I want to share it with her.

SGV Coffee Shop - Free WiFi, Late hours?

Finals season is coming around again, and I need a place in the San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena, Arcadia, San Gabriel, Monrovia) where I can clear my mind and focus. My usual spots are Zona Rosa, Zephyr's, Border's, and/or Starbucks. But those places have been getting pretty busy lately.

Anybody know of any coffee shops in the SGV that offers a place to study, free wifi and late hours?

I was searching the boards and I found Psychobabble in Los Feliz, but I was hoping for something closer...

Coffee Shops in Pasadena

Zona Rosa is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Pasadena. I just absolutely love the vibe of the place. However, I'm lookin for something new. Anybody got any recommendations for some great coffee shops with a very relaxed enviroment?

Phoenix Food Boutique - Rice

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but the Phoenix in Arcadia has got to be one of my favorite chinese restaurants ever. I was curious though, how do they cook their rice? I noticed that their white rice has a taste to it. I don't know how to describe it, but it's definetly one of my favorite things about the restaurant. I'm aware that there are different types of grains but I think there's more to it. Their white rice has some kind of flavoring. What's their secret?

I also noticed that for some dishes they don't serve this "special" rice. It's guaranteed to come with the "Phoenix Boneless Chicken and Rice" dish, but getting the flavored rice with other plates is based purely on chance. Does anyone why? Or is it something you have to request.?

Culinary School (Arcadia, Pasadena, SGV)

Does anybody know of any Culinary Schools around Arcadia, Pasadena, or the San Gabriel Valley? I'm not looking to make a career, so the Culinary Arts school in Pasadena isn't for me. I just want to be able to learn to cook everyday meals at home, and for the family.
