Hardy's BBQ in Bethesda, mmm,mmm,good!
Hardy's is in the parking lot of the Bethesda Community Store, you can't miss the signs. It's one block north of Suburban Hospital.
I just had the ribs, beef brisket sandwich, and baked beans. The beans were so sweet that they tasted like apple pie filling.

Good noodle soups in the area?
Fall is in the air and it's a perfect time for some good noodle soup. Beyond the standard pho @ Eden Center, A&J, ramen in Bethesday, are there any places that do a good hearty dao xiao mien (knife cut noodles) here in DC?
Thanks!

Looking for chickpea flour in NoVA
Saw an interesting recipe for Spanish seafood pancakes in the NYT today that I'd like to try out:

Could anyone help me by pointing me towards a store that sells chickpea flour?
Thanks!
Have you ever "trained" yourself to eat something?
Gosh where to start? There were so many "odd" foods in Asian cuisine that my parents had to train me to eat. As a child I hated dishes such as bitter melon and cha shao (the Chinese roasted pork with the red glaze that I thought signified that the meat was undercooked), but oddly enough had no problems with thousand year old eggs.
These days I've conquered fish eyes and olives.....however, queso still manages to scare me!
Cozy coffee shops in DC or MD suburbs?
ACKC cocoa bar in Logan Circle, try the chipotle cocoa!
Shilla's which serves drinks and desserts with an Asian flair in Annandale, VA
Any of the DC area Teaisms
ACKC Cocoa Bar
Stopped by on Saturday afternoon around 1. It wasn't super busy when I first got there but business picked up VERY quickly. Very pretty vibrant store.
I tried both the chipotle hot chocolate and the lavender. I HIGHLY suggest the chipotle for a unique twist.
Hand Shaved Noodles (Chinese) in San Diego
I can confirm that the Jamillah Garden in Irvine does have them. I wasn't aware that they were a chain though.
