Best place to eat at the bar (especially bar overlooking the kitchen)
Sorrel has a flat screen at the bar allowing a view of the kitchen action.
The bar is off to the side of the restaurant so you may not feel you are part of the scene. As people who enjoy eating at the bar, you will be well taken care of and entertained.

Second Carrabba's on Kirby, Max's and yes, the far side of the bar at Brasserie 19 facing the crownd entering the place.
Where to buy the best Italian sausage in Houston, Texas.
We've tried all of the above and the best we've found locally has been Carrabba's on Kirby. They will sell them uncooked - not cheap (around $6lb).
Forget Revival. We had high hopes but they missed the mark if you are looking for that familiar Italian style sausage.

Was considering the gospel brunch at HOB until I read disastrous reviews. Places that come to mind - Hugo's, Hotel ZaZa, Mockingbird Bistro, LaStrada. Any help will most certainly be appreciated ... been to The Houstonian, Danton's, "17". Prefer to stay in or around the loop.

Turkey stock. Spicy cranberry relish. Pumpkin cranberry bread. Brine. Cornbread. Green beans blanched. Rosemary olive oil bread is cubed and drying. House is clean.
Shopping is complete. A busy day ahead.

Our route takes us through Louisiana toward Hammond, Hattiesburg (I-59N) passing through Mississippi, Alabama. I need suggestions for good chow ... as that is the only thing that will get my son and I through our first ever road trip as we U-Haul it to Boston. Departing early Monday, 8/27.

Good place for lunch on a hot summer day
Pack a cooler with a bottle of white or rose wine (don't forget the corkscrew), wineglasses, a cloth tablecloth and some coordinating napkins. Drive up PCH to Malibu Seafood. Order an Ahi buger or some fish tacos (or whatever suits you). Set up your picnic table and enjoy! Alotta bang for the buck.
Where to have fun with college kids in and around Boston/Cambridge?
Visiting my son in Boston next week and would enjoy drinks and a good meal while getting to know his friends. Looking for a young, hip atmosphere, good chow = good fun.
