So whats the deal? Its been 2 years 7 months since last post, and like 4 years since the OP.

Is the space re-utilized at 1013 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn NY, or is it still in-development and somewhat abandoned?

Tried Cafe Sushi on Saturday night, I enjoyed it. I'd say its come up a few levels from a few years ago. Fast service, decent cuts of sashimi, decent quality. For a standby I'd say its fine.

I would've suggested it a few years ago when it was called "Naha Cafe", and was operated by the best family ever, but now its just another regular sushi joint.

Sushi Express is Japanese owned and operated with more traditional nigiri and sashimi as their common fare. They don't specialize in rolls, since they serve more traditional style sushi. If rolls are you thing, go to one of the more Americanized style sushi places.

I've never had anything buy decent sushi there.
