Brick Street Bakery Refuses to Slice Bread!?!?
Mass produced bread has quite a bit of preservatives and dough conditioners.
Cheap Eats Suggestions near FCP?
Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for affordable eats in and around First Canadian Place. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Loblaws @ Maple Leaf Gardens
I just read a little article about it on Toronto Life. Has anyone been? Would love to hear opinions about it.
La Tortilleria
How about locations? Which one is the most consistent. The Kensington location seems to get a lot of flack.
La Tortilleria
Would it be safe to say that the tortillas are much more superior to the frozen/refrigerated stuff we get in some stores? Bizarrely I read a review that said that the frozen ones are better. Also, I noticed that they have 2 options in terms of weight for the tortillas. I think it's half kilo and kilo. About how many tortillas are in a half kilo?
La Tortilleria
Hey folks. Just wondering what your thoughts are of this place. Been meaning to make the trek just to buy fresh tortillas so I'd like to know if it's worth it. Also there haven't been many recent reviews.
OBSCURE OR RARE Cuisine in City of Toronto
Well, native indian food is rare. Only place I know that does it or at least an interpretation of it is Keriwa Cafe.

Help needed : Slicing meat
Hi everyone. I have a little dilemma. I plan on buying a whole ribeye, aka the vacuum type ones that can be bought at a wholesale store for relatively cheap. But I would like to have it cut to slices of a uniform thickness. I don't have a meat slicer, so does anyone know where or how I can get this done? Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yeah there were a number of them who were just actually home cooks. I think it just didn't seem that way because most of the vendors decided to name / label their booths.

Fair price and better quality products in Farmer's Market - Not neccessarily!!
Not really surprising. Vendors don't have the buying power of larger stores/supermarkets and they incur costs to set up shop at the farmers markets.
ISO : Cheesecloth
Not really. But if there's a good source for larger quantities I'd love to know.

Buca - Overrated and comically pretentious
"... that after his 5th visit to our table and his millionth remark about how nice it must be to save up our money for a big night and head into the city, I snapped and corrected him."
Yikes, he said that? I wouldn't have been so patient. Just wondering, what did you say to him?
ISO : Cape Gooseberries
Hi folks. Has anyone spotted cape gooseberries recently in the GTA? Would appreciate any suggestions of where to buy. Thanks.
Liberty Belle Bistro
He had the La Belle Burger. Said it was bland, the frites weren't very good, and the homemade ketchup tasted like boiled down unripened tomatoes.
