Afford to be fabulous and travel as an epicurean. But it doesn't mean that much to me. I wish I could teach some people to be more open-minded about food and understand where their food comes from - you don't have to be a wealthy gourmand at all to be a chowhound

I don't do dinner parties, I just make "nibbles". People seem to like my banana daiquiris a lot though!
My favorite comfort food:
Junk food probably - floppy slice of cheese pizza, McD's fries, a greasy burger... Grits for breakfast...
My most tattered cookbooks:
I use mostly recipes online and adapt them. I have the Southern Living Cookbook - use it occasionally. Most "tattered" cookbook is a microwave manual from 1974 I inherited from mom and dad... I only use the baked beans recipe in it - might be a crappy microwave recipe using dried crap, but they are the best baked beans!
