Ramen in Seattle?

I just came from Boom Noodle on 12th and Pine, it is great. Although I am allergic to gluten and ordered a salmon dish, I was with five other people who all had different noodle dishes. We all loved what we ate, and it is super cool in there. The chef, Jonathan Hunt, used to have a very well known catering company. Also, I think he studied in Japan for a while. We all loved it and will be back.

Veil?

I went with three friends for happy hour, and that was great. I loved the bar, but for some reason cannot bring myself to eat dinner there. I say go for the happy hour and then look at the dinner menu.

Crush or Sitka and Spruce?

My vote is for Crush. The Chef, Jason Wilson, is amazing, and it is in an older house that makes it seem less formal.

Ashland...anyone with an update...???

There is an amazing bed and breakfast called Blue Moon, our breakfast was amazing, they hire a person to come in and prepare it, and if you have any food allergies or anything they are very cool about that. Anyway, I would stay there and ask them where to eat, the guys who own it seem to have it going on. Plus, it is near a coop that sells really great organic food, some pre-prepared like PCC here. Loved that Blue Moon, plus one of the rentals has it's own kitchen. We love Ashland, but haven't been in two years, so this is my one awesome recommendation.

Queen Anne Farmers Market Opens Today (6/28)

The fish was great, got the halibut and the salmon, and loved the fact that it was fresh and not frozen. The guy said it was caught the day before, no knowing if that was true...but it tasted as if it were true.

New-ish on Queen Anne (SEA)

love Portage! Also, it is a great place to go for appetizers (very generous) and drinks, and their wine by the glass is a huge pour for the price. Betty needs a better wine by the glass list, other than that, love Betty as well, but have heard mixed reviews from other pals regarding service.
Our service was fine, and it is great for lunch.

New-ish on Queen Anne (SEA)

four of us went to Opal just last night (June 21st) and you are right, they need to fix the service. Our waitress came off as though it was her first night waiting tables anywhere.
Food was good, but we prefer Portage across the street. We were all wondering if it would last, too.
