One Night In Philly

Thank you for your suggestions-I would love Vetri but we can not get a reservation. How is Osteria? Funny-my husband is not a fan of the small plates either. I think that fish is not my favorite-would like a more diverse menu. Oh and not this Saturday-the following. Don't really want to leave the city. I grew up outside of Philly and would love a city weekend...

One Night In Philly

My husband and I are coming to Philly from NYC next Saturday night and want a great meal! We are getting away from the kids and would like to relax with good food and wine. Open to all suggestions-price not an issue.

Sushi tonight for family

We are from NY with our 2 kids and love the sushi in LA. We ate at Itzakoya the other night and planned on eating at Wa tonight but they are closed. We are staying in West Hollywood and will travel! Any suggestions? Thanks!

Looking for a great salad!

Lunch spot that has great salads on the menu. Looking midtown west side, chelsea or flatiron.

Visiting Boston with kids

Casual is perfect and my kids do like ethnic food so we are open to all suggestions on that front. Would like to stay moderately priced. We will have a car so we are able to move around easily.

Visiting Boston with kids

We are NYC chowhownders and are visiting Boston with our 2 kids ages 9 and 11. They are both adventurous eaters yet am looking for places that are somewhat kid friendly. We are staying near Fenway Park but are open to suggestions all around the city. Thanks!

High Line suggestions?

Hitting The High Line tomorrow night-any ideas? Looking for something modestly priced- any food. Thanks!

Fondue in the West 50's

Ahh-that's it!! Thank you!!!!!!!!

Fondue in the West 50's

Thanks but I want to take my daughter today for lunch and she is 10 so this doesn't seem like the spot that I wanted.

Fondue in the West 50's

Thanks but I am looking for a place that has been around for awhile and these are a little newer and only open in the evenings. I was actually looking for lunch for today.

Fondue in the West 50's

There used to be a fondue spot in the 50's-I can't recall the name or location. Can anyone help?

Gift Certificate in Philadelphia

Where is Matt Levin the chef?

Gift Certificate in Philadelphia

That's great-I was thinking of Vetri but I do believe my parents have eaten there. I will check out your other suggestions. Okay-so I guess I mean senior appeal as not 20 year olds-not too loud either. Certainly not early bird! I do think that the LeBecFin prices may be a little too rich for my blood this year so something a little less expensive. Keep the suggestions coming!

Gift Certificate in Philadelphia

Hi-I am a NYC chowhound and would love to get my parents a gift certificate to a great new place in Philly. They like all foods but something that has a little more senior appeal but no too sedate! Thanks for your help!

Mercadito or Mexicana Mama

Wanted to know what your thoughts were on these West Village Mexicans. Is there anything that might be better? I'm also taking both my kids (ages 8 and 10) do you think that either of these will work with them?

Can't afford Ursawa

I'm coming in from New York so I won't be getting to know our sushi chef-this is a one night only LA sushi experience.

Can't afford Ursawa

What's the next best Sushi restaurant-around $100-$125 a person.

Which restaurant would you choose?

Okay-I have asked and searched on this board and I am tossed between several spots. My husband and I are coming into LA this weekend for the Emmy's from NY. We have one night to have a great LA meal. These are the restaurants that I have narrowed it down to: Ortolan, Citrus at Social or Wilshire. We also love sushi and the sushi in LA is far superior to NY so Sushi Zo is also a contender. Help!!

One night in LA

I agree that it is vastly different as we were once there several years ago and since we do not come to LA very often I'd like to have a different experience. Thanks though.

One night in LA

Thanks for the great suggestions. Ortolan looks like what I have in mind. We love Japanese too and I think LA has the best sushi but I think Urasawa is just a little too pricey for us. We have Matsuhisa in NY but if there are any other wonderful Japanese restaurants that you can suggest-that would be terrific! Thanks.

One night in LA

Hubby is being nominated for an Emmy in September and we will have one night to celebrate and enjoy LA (we're from NYC). Would like a great LA meal. We've been to Lucques, AOC, Grace and Jar. Any suggestions for a wonderful and memorable meal? The only thing that we don't want is Italian and steak. Thanks.

Bouchon Bakery French Macarons

Macaron is also very good-they are on 36th off of 7th Ave.

Restaurants near the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ

Is there anything that is close by? Going there soon and wanted to have dinner close to the area.

Afternoon Tea for a 9 year old girl

American Girl is fantastic for tea. It is perfect for a 9 year old. I have one and it is her favorite place and I like it too!
