Meyer Lemons?

Has anyone seen Meyer lemons around the Twin Cities, specifically St. Paul?

Thanks!

Best Take-Out Pad Thai

Asian Deli on Western in St. Paul. I get an order of pad thai with double pork and it last for three lunches and still tastes delicious.

Open on Christmas Day

Is there any place in St. Paul or nearby that's relatively affordable and open on Christmas Day? Chinese or American would be great for my non-foodie dad.

Thanks!

how to safely can a cream sauce with a pressure canner

You can't can anything creamy. It won't keep safely.

Crisp Grocery Store Sugar Cookie Recipe

Hi all,

You know those crisp grocery store sugar cookies (not the soft ones) that are around for all the holidays? They generally have a little lip on the edge, and feature colored sugar sprinkles. Sometimes the bottoms are covered in chocolate. They taste a little bit like the Keebler Elves cookies that have a vanilla top and a chocolate bottom.

Does anyone know of a recipe that would emulate these cookies? Googling gives me lots of results for soft, iced grocery store sugar cookies, but none for the crisp rolled ones.

Thanks!

Brasa's Cilantro-Ginger Aioli [Moved from Minneapolis-St. Paul Board]

I love this sauce. It's fantastic - I could eat it (and everything else at Brasa) every single day.

I have been scouring the internet for a recipe for something similar, and can't find anything whatsoever. Would anyone happen to have a recipe that would be the equivalent of Brasa's fabulous dipping sauce?

Pink Salt/Sodium Nitrate in the Twin Cities

I tried them - they were fantastic, gave me a tablespoon of pink salt, and I picked up some beautiful brats for dinner!

Pink Salt/Sodium Nitrate in the Twin Cities

Thank you!

Pink Salt/Sodium Nitrate in the Twin Cities

Thanks, I'll check it out tomorrow.

Pink Salt/Sodium Nitrate in the Twin Cities

Which Whole Foods? I couldn't find anything in St. Paul.

Pink Salt/Sodium Nitrate in the Twin Cities

I've got five pounds of pork belly defrosting in the fridge (for bacon) and no pink salt to be found. I would like to begin curing it tomorrow, but I've been to every cooks' supply store and spice shop I can think of, plus grocery stores. Is there a place in the Twin Cities that sells pink salt? I would rather stay on the safe side for my first time making bacon, so I'd prefer to use pink salt.

Thanks a lot!

What metro area liquor store has the best liquor section?

Big Top has by far the best prices on everything, too.

On's Thai Kitchen

This is so close to my house it's easy to walk over and stop at the Turf Club for drinks after dinner. On was fantastic and so friendly - willing to make fried tofu (a favorite weakness) off the menu. My husband loved the garlic chicken, even though he is not a fan of heat, and I could pretty much inhale anything off the menu. Delish!

Fresh masa, where to buy (not restaurant Masa!)

I agree, El Burrito always seems to have fresh masa.

Kim Huoy Chor closed... Chinese delivery in Midway?

I'm not necessarily surprised about KHC's closing after what I read on wcco.com, but does anyone know if this is going to be permanent? And are there any other Chinese delivery places that deliver to Snelling/University? Besides New Asia - my husband and I are not fans. Thanks!

Pomegranate molasses - Twin Cities

Do you know where I can find pomegranate molasses in the Twin Cities? Thanks!

Kid-friendly Mexican in Phoenix? / Grand Canyon

Thank you - Los Reyes sounds like what I'm looking for. I used to live in Chicago and miss the yummy sopes in my favorite restaurant there.

Kid-friendly Mexican in Phoenix? / Grand Canyon

I'm going to Phoenix and Vegas for my honeymoon in a month. The first night we're going to be in Phoenix and meeting up with my sister and her 6 year old son. My new husband and I would love to get some good, authentic Mexican, but my nephew, being six, is a little picky. What would you suggest?

Bonus points if it's near the Tapatio Cliffs resort, where we're staying for the night.

------

The next day, we're doing a marathon driving trip from Phoenix, through Sedona, up to the Grand Canyon, back to the freeway, and over to Vegas. We're going to probably get up near the Grand Canyon around lunch time - any reccomendations for cheap, quick road food that still tastes good?

TIA!

Sushi takeout in eastern suburbs - Twin Cities

Can someone recommend me a sushi takeout place in the eastern suburbs of St. Paul, or St. Paul downtown? I have a severe craving and would love to stop and pick something up this evening.

Wedding cupcakes in Twin Cities

Where I can go to find some really great, unique cupcakes to have in lieu of traditional cake at my wedding?

Thanks!
