A friend from out of town told me about a restaurant where you pay (approx) $400 and then chef prepares a meal for you. I know I've heard of this, but don't know what it is!! Help?
What's the plan for restaurant week?
I went to Kittichai and was very surprised. It was very good. The portions were generous, you get a good variety of the regular menu to chose from. I would definitely go back.

There is the greatest ice cream (maybe its considered gelato) cart on University and 11th Street.

Martini Park is now open for lunch (and serves late) and is soo good. Not what you'd expect.
Klee lunch today or other near ideas?
If its not too late DO NOT do Klee. It was on my "to go to" list for months cause the menu looked so great, but it was just dreadful.

Thor - Anyone been recently?
It's amazing. In my opinion, already one of the cutest restaurants in NYC and now they have a new chef to match. Everything is great, with really fun variations of classic dishes. (Like, a chinese dish with french flare; a cerviche with squid ink; gnocchi with foie gras and figs; and BEST - duck breast with tangerine -- like chinese orange duck) Highly recommend it.
Lever House: Any Recent Experiences?
Olana is not the best, although hopefully its polished up because it is a great concept. We went with eight people and ended up trying everything, I think I was super impressed with only like three things.

Quinoa lover
I'm not a huge quinoa fan, so I don't know what the ones suggested taste like, but we were at sushi samba and they had a dish that I actually loved that my friend ordered.
