What's "wit" the "wiz" -- Cheeseteaks for a prodigal Philadelphian
I've only been to Chink's once but the milkshake was truly outstanding (and the cheesesteak had the least amount of grease of any cheesesteak I've ever had).
What's the best sandwich at Tony Luke's?
Roast Pork Italian broccoli rabe & sharp prov = Philly's best sandwich
Sammy Chon's KTown Barbecue in Cherry Hill- Why is this place under the radar on the Chowhound Philly board?
This place got beat up by PW last week:

Any good dim sum left in Chinatown
I ended up at Ocean City Seafood without intending to go their for lunch recently, their Dim Sum (with carts) was quite good. It is right next to Sang Kee at 234 North 9th Street Philadelphia.
btw, I'm sad that Pho75 is no longer in Chinatown, that place was great!
Chinatown Restaurants with the Fried Noodles
david's mai lah wah definitetly has them.
the greatest pizza ever
Tacconelli's in Maple Shade, NJ (across from the Moorestown Mall), walk in... order pizza, BYOB, can't be beat!
Is Sang Kee in Cherry Hill open?
I tend to agree with Moose above... with one carry out so far. I tried the shrimp dumpling noodle soup and was not "WOW'ed". It was good but nothing special. I will try something else next time.
btw, the place was packed with customers on the Friday evening just after Thanksgiving.
Is Sang Kee in Cherry Hill open?

Is Sang Kee in Cherry Hill open?
Sang Kee is next to the LabCorp office in "Premier Plaza", it is not open on Tuesday's.
Sang Kee opening in Edgemont / Newtown Square in August
The Inquirer reported recently that Sang Kee is opening in Cherry Hill by the end of the month at 1601 N Kings Hiway across from the Genaurdi's.
What do you eat when you drive to Pittsburgh?
The Summit Diner is nothing fancy, simply an old time diner but I've been there 3 times while driving between Philly and Pittsburgh. It's cheap too!
A better choice in Somerset is the Pine Grill which you can see at the first light off the turnpike.
Great family style home cooked food.
Both are within minutes of the PA turnpike.
Lunch near Loews Hotel (12th & Market), but not at Reading Terminal?
I've been to Dim Sum Garden twice during lunch hours and thought the service slow was both times. Slow to take the order and slow to get the check. The noodles are quite good though.
Best restaurants in Chinatown?
I'll second Four Rivers, for lunch they are rarely busy and their Szechuan is great, it's my 2nd choice after Szechuan Tasty House.
Best Cheesesteak near Logan Square
I've been going to Cherry St Tavern (at 22nd St) once a month for over 10 years now.
Their roast beef or pork on a kaiser roll are both fabulous. The roll soaks up the juices from the meat. I add the optional horseradish on the side, simply deliciuos!
Best homemade pasta in Philly?
I tried Severino's because of this post and it's only minutes from the train station I go to regularly.
I bought frozen spinach ravioli ($8.99) and boxed whole wheat pasta ($4.99). The boxed pasta was no better than the $1.49 Ronzoni brand from the grocery store. The ravioli was very good but not at that price.
Picanha Grill
I've been to Picanha the last two Christmas Eve nights and both times the food was very good especially considering the price. It's a BYOB too! The surrounding neighborhood, the cheesy paneling and the slow service at times doesn't matter to me because the food is simply outstanding and it's only $22 for all you can eat.
The chicken wrapped in bacon and the top sirloin were the best meats both times. The garlic chicken, sausage, pork ribs and brisket were all good but I'd recommend the first two if you want to over load on anything. The salad bar can be a meal in itself also.
Searching for a restaurant open Christmas Day!
Almost any place in Chinatown is open.
Chinese recs?
Thanks for the blog, I didn't know about Red Kings. Lunch was very good (and cheap) today.
Best Hamburger in Philadephia
The best value burger in town on Monday's is at Misconduct (1511 Locust Street)
Their burgers (w/ fries) are $5 all day long and are delicious. Great but pricy beer selection too.
Favorite Chinese places in Chinatown? Not bakeries, not dim-sum, not Thai/Burmese/Fusion
Szechuan Tasty House is my favorite lunch spot in Chinatown.
Your Favorite Ethnic in Philly
Szechuan Tasty House in Chinatown is my favorite for lunch.
Looking for breweries along 1-80
3 Floyds brewpub in NW Indiana isn't far from I-80.
Capriottos
Capriottos just opened in Cherry Hill in the former Sarcones and then Guiseppi's location, haven't been there yet though. They started in WIlmington according to their website and
have several locations. Is the "Bobbie" sandwich worth the hype?
Day trip to Philly.Any good breakfast spots?
I've read many good things about Kanella's lately but haven't been there yet. One column was in a national magazine.
Went to Chink's today for the 1st time!
I've been to Chink's one time, the thing I liked the most compared to other Philly cheesesteaks was the fact it was not greasy and like FayeD said, the milkshake was also wonderful. Top 3 for me too.
