Need Recs for Blue Ridge Pkwy
Thanks for the tips! Have been keeping a close on closures (thanks!), so at least we won't be surprised when we get there. Day trips sounds great, Jesco, and plan to take full advantage. Would like to have for the day trips a picnic lunch of local produce, meats, breads, wines, etc. Any advice where to purchase, or just stop when the 'gettins' look good? Thanks again!

Thanks! I already have a rec for a bbq place called 'Spears' in Linville Falls. Any feedback?

Chowhounds - you have never failed me, so I call on you again! Will be based out of Boone, NC in the middle of October and need hits/misses in and around this area as we enjoy the fall colors. Open to all cuisines and all prices. Always willing to try the new and different, as well as comfort. Heard about Zambras in Asheville, so that's already on my list. Willing to travel for good food! Thanks!

NYC solo dining
Hello fellow Chowhounds! You've always given great advice, and I need your help once again. Will be in NYC February 21 thru 24. Looking for dining options. Really don't care what cuisine, as am open to all. Will be staying at Hilton New York Midtown - 6th & 53rd. Budget, whatever (but somewhat realistic - you know how reimbursements go!). Hope to have companionship, but as this is business, am usually on my own after meetings. Any suggestions? Thank you for input and taking care of me in prior travels.
Dining solo in Las Vegas and on a budget.
Wow! Thank you so much for all your suggestions. It is greatly appreciated!
Dining solo in Las Vegas and on a budget.
Would like to spend no more than 50 on a great dining experience. Understand most meals run far more than this. Not opposed to bar tapas/appetizers. Thanks for your recs so far.

Chow hounds help! I am attending a conference/workshop in Las Vegas in August (10th-15th). I will be staying at the Flamingo (they paid!). Breakfast and lunch will be provided, but dinner is, alas, on my own. No rental transport...I'll be winging it on feet, public, and monorail. Am open to all cuisines. Would like to have a really nice Japanese dinner one night. Not into gambling, not into shows, but into great dining experiences on a budget. Can this happen in Las Vegas? Any recs you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
Dinner recs for downtown Cincinnati
We have just returned from our first visit to 'Cincy.' As a native Texan, I must tell you I am so impressed with your unbelievable countryside, the hills and the water features. I cannot say, though, I was impressed with your 'chile.' Please remember I come from a state which beams it's pride on chile, but I was impressed with the experience and will always keep it close to my heart. You should also note that I tried ribs at Montgomery Inn...I was totally impressed. It is a pleasure to find a new way of cooking baby backs, and they were so good...and the service was exceptional...made all of us feel right at home. The local brews were wonderful and all the local appetizers were delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant, with its dining option overlooking the river front was a tourist's dream. Could I just add another star to Jean-Ro? Talk about your wonderful dining experience. It was beyond first class. The food, the service, everything was impeccable. Pho Paris!?!?! Is there a conspiracy? What a totally captivating experience. Thank you all in 'Cincy' for making these 'texans' have a most enjoyable experience which we will never forget!
