Coffee bar "culture" in Queens?
The seating is still limited till the y expand next door which is a possibility in the future. Starbucks is opening a block away on 37th Avenue between 78th and 79th Street. It's a big space and should have a lot of seating.

Bistro-type food in Jackson Heights or vicinity?
I've been to Bliss Cafe and ordered the Steak au poivre which was very good. Not as good as Tournesol but close. I'm hoping that a French bistro opens in JH and I'm guessing I'm not the only one. Ingrid's on 78th St. & 37th Avenue just moved to 79th Street and I'm hoping that some sort of bistro opens at that location.
Espresso 77 in Jackson Heights
I went in later this afternoon and really liked the interior, they did a really good job. I had a cappuccino which reminded me of my trip to some the coffee houses in Seattle. My SO had the hot chocolate and found it to have a real creamy chocolate flavor. This place is going to do real well!
Wine shop in Jackson Heights?
I disagree, JH is ready to become a little more upscale. I would welcome a Citarella type grocer and a nice wine shop. I think JH is at the tipping point of some major changes over the next few years. Strabucks should be an indicator to entrepreneurs that the new wave of residents have the money to spend. I recently spoke with the owners of Espresso 77 and they can fee/tell that the neighborhood is changing and will be rewarded by the over the top business that they will receive.
