Best meal I ever ate:

Jamin and Trotter's (my first REALLY fancy meals) and a place outside of Peterborough when, as a seven year old, I was introduced to the mysteries of cutting and aging good steak by the owner (a family friend)

My current drink of choice:

A really good southern Rhone in the absence of a bottle or two of La Tache ;-)

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

Mini potatoes, roasted in duck fat with Normandy sea salt and fresh herbs from my garden

My favorite comfort food:

Cream of Asparagus Soup with slow roasted wild mushrooms and truffle oil

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

Locally, Auberge du Pommier, Bloom, Midi, Peller, Le Paradis

My most tattered cookbooks:

French Laundry, Bouchon, Paris Bistro Cooking, Alfred Portale's 12 Seasons Cookbook. All heavily stained (Keller was impressed that it was so heavily used). I also have an autographed Bocuse book but that does not count -- it's "special"
