Galveston

Try the "Float". Its a bar with swim up pool. Pretty darn cool. And right across the road, the Gulf of Mexico.

Good Food in Mansfield,TX

I just moved to South Arlington/Mansfield a few months ago (Matlock&Debbie Lane area) and found Trios to be a good place for pizza. Also I found a good little sushi place off of 287&FM157 in the strip mall near Petco. Also in that area there is a cool little sports bar named the Game Room. It has a good selection of beers on tap and the food is good.

Dallas Italian Suggestions

Angelos's in Lakewood is very good.

Good Eats Around UT-Arlington?

NIZZA PIZZA is all I have to say!

Ft Worth help for visitors from Boston

Try Mi Cocina's in downtown Ft. Worth. They have good brisket tacos. Plus, parking is free in downtown Ft. Worth on the weekends, and if you can't find street parking they have a huge parking garage by Bass Hall that is free as well. The Stockyard area doesn't have good TexMex. Also in downtown Ft. Worth, Cabo is good mexican food.

Joe T. Garcia's

Try LaPlayaMaya in Ft.Worth. Good Mexican food. Mi Cocinas in downtown Ft. Worth is very good as well. I don't like Joe T's....to much hype and the food isn't that all great.

Texas road trip (Austin-SA-Galveston), where to eat?

Go to the Salt Lick, I have been there once and loved the BBQ. Just got back from a 3 day vacation in Galveston, TX and I would reccommend going to the Spot restaurant, good food that is reasonable. Try to visit the "Float" on seawall blvd. It is a unique open air bar that has a great happy hour from 4-7pm. They also have a pool with a swim up bar. Also in Galveston on seawall blvd is the "Poop Deck", also a good place for drinks. Fish Tails is okay for seafood, but stay away from Casey's Seafood, not so good.

Friday night Dallas "Celebration" Dinner

You should try Mias TexMex, they have amazing brisket tacos and their Magaritas are very good.

Seeking GREAT short ribs in the D/FW area

The best BBQ is not in the Dallas area. If you are up for a drive, take your dad down to Austin to a little town called Driftwood and the "Salt Lick". It is by far some of the best BBQ you can find in Texas.

Sangria- Pleasantly Suprised

By far the best sangria's that I have had have been at Cafe Madrid in the Knoxville/Henderson area of Dallas. It is a small tapas restaurant, but very good.
