Salt Creek Grill Today
We went to Barnacle Bill's last weekend. When we pulled into parking lot, we thought it was closed because the lot was almost empty. We were told that business is very slow since the bridge has been closed. I hope people will realize that they may have to go out of their way but sometimes it's worth the extra time.

Salt Creek Grill Today
The family and I had Thanksgiving meal at the Salt Creek Grill in Rumson today. I really had to write to say that the meal was excellent. I have always had good meals at this establishment but today was one of the best. We all had the turkey dinner. There was plenty of delicious food. The service was superb. This is one of my favorite places to dine.
Bonefish Grill - Middletown
I happen to like Bonefish quite a bit. I sure hope that it opens soon.
La Cantina
Does anyone know about a new restaurant opening in Foodtown shopping center on Hwy 35 in Neptune City? It is La Cantina, I think....
Today's Visit [Il Pavone, Asbury Park]
A young woman was serving us but I believe the owner was sitting right there watching her...
Today's Visit [Il Pavone, Asbury Park]
You're right, Tapas52. We've stopped at McDonalds many times after having a light dinner someplace else. That little vanilla cone "hit the spot"...
Today's Visit [Il Pavone, Asbury Park]
My husband and I visited this establishment this afternoon and all I can say is that we were very disappointed. The gelato did not taste fresh, it was not creamy and it was expensive. We don't mind paying for a smaller size if the quality is good. We had the small cup which is about the "kiddie" size that my 4 year old grandson would eat. The price was 8.99 for two cups. The portion wasn't even a real "scoop". There were no other customers. You'd think they'd try to keep those that do visit their store. We won't go back.

Trinity in Keyport
I've had the salad a few times and thought it was great. My husband orders the spinach salad and really enjoys it.....I've been to Trinity many times and have enjoyed every meal....
Good atmosphere, great food and cheap beer in Monmouth County?
I, too, have to recommend Barnacle Bill's....We do go often for a burger and beer....It's just a great, casual place.
Toms River Diners?
Thanks for all the suggestions....keep 'em coming. I'm looking forward to trying all of them.
Jersey Shore Homemade Ice Cream?
I have to say that Hoffman's is excellent......I might have to "cheat" and have some this weekend.......
Toms River Diners?
I just moved to the Toms River area (Lakewood border). Are there any good diners in this area? I do see diners but none of them look busy so I wonder if they're any good. Thanks..

Tonight's dinner at Trinity
Well, my husband and I just returned home from Trinity (yes, we eat early). I must say that it was another excellent meal.. We started with salad. I had The Wedge which was a quarter of iceberg lettuce with an excellent blue cheese dressing. It also had fried onion and fried lardons (taste like bacon). The dressing was so good. My husband had the baby spinach salad which he enjoyed very much. As an entree, we each had crab cakes. There were two very large cakes which were mostly jumbo lump crab. They were so tasty. We ended up splitting a dessert because we were both too full. We ordered the "Smores" which had peanut butter base with some chocolate, graham cracker and a marshmallow. It was more than enough for the two of us. It was another great meal and I am looking forward to going back....

I love the sesame chicken at Baumgart's. I also like the ice cream for dessert.
Anniversary Dinner Recs, please?
Thanks to all suggestions. I think we'll be going to Trinity this time. However, hope to try some of the suggestions in the future.
Anniversary Dinner Recs, please?
My husband and I will be going to dinner the end of this week for our anniversary. I'm looking for something good but not as expensive as Nicholas. I'm thinking of Trinity because we've never had a bad meal at the restaurant. Any other suggestions?
Thanks, in advance.
Trinity in Keyport.
You should give it a try. My husband and I really enjoy the food, service and atmosphere.
Disappointing Salt Creek Grille
I was there in June with family. We all agreed that the food is not as good as it had been on previous occassions. I understand they have a new head chef
I also noticed that the food was too salty and/or way too much garlic.....
As a one-time regular, I'm not sure if I'll go back too quickly.
Nino's Jr in Oakhurst
I have to agree with fourunder. I do believe that Taliercio's food is better. I've had all foods from both places and Nino's food was always a liitle too greasy.
Mon/Ocean Cty - Blueberry Pancakes?
Lemon-Blueberry at Turn Point in Pier Village. They're great...
Freehold / Long Branch omelets
I gave up on Amy's. It seems my "luck of the draw" was unlucky. I'm looking for great pancakes, too.....
Flakey Tart - Atlantic Highlands.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love The Flaky Tart. However, I was disappointed with the Pain Chocolate (sorry for any misspelling) that I had today. There was very little chocolate and I mean Very little. I went for a scone (the best around) but they did not have any more by the time I got there. Anyway, I'll try it again. Since I live in Eatontown and try not to eat too much fat, I don't go every day or week but do make it twice a month.
This is still the best place in the area.

Shrimp Panckes at Country Pancake House Ridgewood NJ
The one in Ridgewood did have chocolate chip cornbread and it was great. I can't believe they don't have it anymore....
