1982 Solo dinner at Four Seasons Olympic Hotel (now Fairmont Olympic). Absolutely memorable. My sommelier looked just like Elvis Costello! The chef and sommalier created a vegetarian menu and pairings just for me, complete with my own paper menu to remember the evening. Huge Georgian dining room and I sat alone at my table, thoroughly engrossed in The Three Musketeers and a splendiferous meal, fit for Queen Anne of Austria.
