We are looking to plan a Christening and would like suggestions for a good place. The church is St. Al's (Howell/Jackson border). Thanks for your help!
Doraldo Ristorante Jackson Crossings Mall NJ
Nice atmosphere, great service, great food, large portions! The bread and pizza bread that came before our salads were delicious! Would definitely recommend to other people!
Shogun Legends RT 34 Wall
I went a few weeks back on a Saturday night. Food was good. Place looks great, much nicer then the old Meritage. However, it seems like everyone was there for a birthday. What seemed like each table had to have the big celebration. That means the disco ball and music playing about every 5-10 mins to bring out the giant sparkler. This made it very loud and hard to carry on a conversation. Would go back, but perhaps on a weeknight when there will probably not be so many B-Days.
How's about Battleground Deli in Freehold?
I haven't been there in a bout 2 years, but the sandwiches were always good and fresh. Usually only women working there and always closed by late afternoon. I would recommend them for a good sub.
2 nights at the Borgata: comments on the Buffet and suggestions for another nice dinner?
I will second the Old Homestead. Great steaks and a fun atmosphere. It is on the expensive side, but you get excellent quality.
Anybody been to The Quarter at the Tropicana?
PF Changs is a very good choice. The food is excellent. I really enjoy the Mongolian Beef and the noodle dishes are good. Carmines is a fun place to go with a bigger crowd. You can be loud and order a few different items. The food is good and a fun time is usually had.
Princeton gems
Rats is over priced and not worth the hype. It is very pretentious there. Went for the $50 pp for brunch. It was good, but not great.
Recently went to the Salt Creek Grill in the MarketFair. Very good food and a cool atmosphere. The prices are not cheap, but left very satisfied and full. Would definitely recommend it.
Best Pizza in N.J.
The best Pizza in Ocean County has always been at Attilio's in Toms River. Used to go there all the time growing up. Really like Via Roma 2 in Howell. The Chicken Marsala Pie is outstanding. The regular pie is not greasy at all.
