If you had to choose a burger in Palo Alto

Marty thanks for the information. I had never heard of Kirks, they seem like they are worth at least checking out. Thanks to everyone else for their two cents.

If you had to choose a burger in Palo Alto

I have a dilemma. I can't make up my mind and I can't eat lunch twice in one day. If you had to choose between the Palo Alto Creamery or The Counter (both in Palo Alto) which would you choose and why? Thanks for steering me in the tastier direction!

2008 Strawberry Shortcake Alert!

Sounds yummy. I have heard great things about Bakesale Betty.

Finally a Sprinkles of our own...

I used to live in Los Angeles but originally from the Bay Area. That's where I fell in love with Sprinkles. liked them before they were a chain and on Oprah. I am certainly not the snobby type that when something becomes popular I am going to stop liking that product. If Doughboys became a chain - again I would still like them. I like good food where I find it and am not an elitist.

Finally a Sprinkles of our own...

I see that Sprinkles in finally opening a location in the Bay Area. They chose Palo Alto and in an email I got from Lori at Sprinkles it should be open sometime in June.
This news made my weekend.

Thanks to everyone for the input. It will be hard to make a decision, but a cheese plate can sway me almost any time. Thanks again.

SpikeyD,
I thank you so much for taking the time to share your insight with me. I really appreciate it, and will pick one (or two) to try.
Thanks again, you've been a big help.

Romantic French bistro in Mayfair.

Hi I will be in London from San Francisco for a few days in September. I am looking for a romantic French (preferably bistro-type) restaurant in Mayfair, or maybe Kensington.
A good date place basically.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Citizen Cake and the Single Diner

I totally feel your pain. Like you I dine alone - many times because of travel, other times, because well no one around at that moment. I have avoided CC for reasons such as these.
I am sorry you were treated like Rosebud, no one should be.

Dim Sum

Yes, Yank Sing is great food, I can't say the service is as good. Not to mention it's overpriced.
