Four Moons, Orangeburg, SC

This restaurant is as good as any in Columbia and most in Charleston. It is fine dinning in one of the nicest rooms going. Don't let the location or outside decieve; it is worth the trip!!

Columbia SC: Special dinner

I have lived in Columbia for some time and anyone that asks should visit Hampton Street Vineyard! Thet are located across from the Downtown Marriott on Hampton Street. They are the only Columbia location that has the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and one of 3 in South Carolina. The food is seasonal, but the crab cakes are the best outside of Maryland! They have an intimate wine room for private dining up to ten people. Outdoor seating is available and they have the most astute staff in the city. If you do choose to go, ask for Bill Murphy or Lee Talmadge, they are the working owners. Tell them Tim and Julie said hello!

Charleston...Any advice on the Following?

The Charleston Grill, at the Charleston Place is by far the most consistent restaurant in Charleston. The food is eclectic and wonderfully prepared.

Columbia, SC

Sorry, Sunday in Columbia is not the night of the week that you will have much luck with fine dinning. But for any other night I would be remiss if I did not mention Hampton Street Vineyard, located across from the Marriott. The only Columbia restaurant that has the Wine Spectator Award for excellence, and the food is better than the wine list.
