filipino in Palm Beach County

It's called "Meng Li's Asia Pacific Grille" and is at 2601 S Military Trail in WPB. From what I recall it's located between 10th Avenue and Forrest Hill Blvd on Military Trail.
It's been over a year since I've been so you should call to make sure they're still open. (561) 963-3600

Chowish eats in Orlando?

Gansu girl,

Let me throw out there that being a Disney fan and a foodie are not entirely mutually exclusive. I frequently find that most food people who are unfamiliar with Walt Disney World are pleasantly surprised by all the "Chowish" options available. To be sure, you will see your selection of hot dogs, burgers and chicken fingers in the parks, but there are also some terrific and unique restaurants as well. One of my favorites is Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge very close to where you'll be staying. It has an African inspired/themed menu and the largest selection of South African wines in the U.S. Here's a link to the menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_jiko.htm. Other favorites include Artist's Point at the Wilderness Lodge (Pacific Northwest-themed menu --excellent cheese course, cedar planked salmon, and the buffalo short ribs braised in red wine are awesome. Excellent dessert wines and ice wines, too. menu link: http://allears.net/menu/menu_ap.htm), the California Grill atop the Contemporary Hotel (try the seared loin of rabbit or the roast duck beast and leg confit. menu link http://allears.net/menu/menu_cg.htm) and Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin Hotel (menu link: http://allears.net/menu/menu_bz.htm).

It goes without saying that all of the Disney restaurants also have kids menus and are very used to catering to the little princesses and pirates in your group.

Have a great trip!

Palm Beach Next Weekend - Recommendations?

For French cuisine on "the island" you really can't do any better Chez Jean Pierre (132 N County Rd Palm Beach, FL 561-833-1171‎) and Cafe Boulud (www.danielnyc.com). Cafe L'Europe is good, as well, but I prefer the first two.
Another nearby good choice is Cafe Sapori in West Palm Beach. Top notch Italian/Continental in a beautiful yet comfortable setting. (205 Southern Blvd.
West Palm Beach, FL 33405 Phone: (561) 805-7313).
Bon appetit!

Filipino in South Florida

There's a good, relatively new one in West Palm Beach on Military Trail or Congress Ave. south of Forest Hill Blvd. in a strip mall on the west side. The sign out front says (I think I'm remembering it right) Mai & Ling's Cafe, or something to that effect. I'm foggy on the location details, but have been there a few times and can say that the lechon, lumpia and pancit are all very good. Good halo halo, too.

Kid friendly restaruants in Palm Beach shores area

Here's a few that come to mind. There's not much for kids on Singer Island proper, but all of these are nearby:

Duffy's Sports Bar and Grill on US1 just north of PGA Blvd.

The Reef Grill (a little further north of Duffy's on US1) is very casual and kid friendly --great seafood.

Spoto's Oyster House on PGA Blvd. (you can sit outside and let the kids play with the giant chess set on the patio)

Depending on your children's age, you might try some of the restaurants at DownTown at the Gardens (an outdoor shopping/restaurant area on PGA Blvd.). We take our 2-year old to City Kitchen there and then to Sloan's for ice cream.
